The troops are on side-studded bricks. 95% of the floor is 'sideways' bricks. I've learned that this is called SNOT building (studs not on top)

Finally somebody did this! Are the clones standing on studded plates on are they just free-standing? that would be a nightmare to fix if somebody knocked them over

Holy evil sith lord, Batman ! This is astonishing ! How on earth do you get the funding for something like this? it must have cost a fortune ! Not many people get the chance (or money) to build something this big, and you've done a great job on it ! Must be a little awkward transporting it though... As Jack Lockhart said I don't understand the clones or Darth maul, but I'm guessing you put that there to fill a gap? Overall, besides petty, unnoticable things I'd definetely buy that for $2000 cash, you know if I had $2000 cash! Love the hanger and the "red carpet!" I`m a lego castle man myself, and just looking outside the castle theme for a moment obviously other immense themes of grandeur exist, I thought my line up lego knights looked good.....space lego, star wars must be the big one....well done, just like the movie.....the TV is a good idea, gives a stunning further blue screen type expanse to it all.....very good.....

Wow... I'm a huge Star Wars fan, I know all the geekiest characters (Orn Free Taa or Gizor Delso, anyone?) but for some reason I've never been a LEGO Star Wars fan. This makes me wish I was. Well done, excellent detail!

I've never heard of SNOT bricks! I used an array of 'sideways' black 1x12's, 1x8's, 1x6's, 1x2's and 3's etc etc for the floor. Also used 1x2's with side stud/clips for the minifig's feet, to prevent them from falling down like dominoes!

Thank you! That's not a TV actually.. though i DID toy with the idea of using one for the 'space' background. I went for had-painted posterboard instead!

Very impressive sense of scale. I don't mind the clones so much mostly because they are small enough that you cant tell from most shots, but the orange ones stand out too much. Fantastic work though.
