NICK HIMSELF - why not do a LEGO Mini-Figure of yourself?
I was so excited LEGO came out with an ARTIST in it's LEGO Collectible Mini-Figures Series 4 since I went to Art & Design and F.I.T. in Manhattan. I've included 4 pictures of myself taken in Art & Design when I attended Th Alumni Association meetings held to celebrate our 65th year as a school! In 2012 we will be going into our 4th Home. A new building is being built on the same site of 2nd avenue between 56th & 57th Streets in Manhattan! We are all sad to see the old building go. I finally had a mini figure to represent me 100% You've seen me mowing the lawn in my MALIBU HOUSE (elsewhere on these 'mocpages') so now here I am white moustache and white goat-tee and all! I can be seen in the Feste Italiani moc working on a painting called black sun against a white night! I loved designing the easel as well! I am including my original buddy icon with Santa a pic I call: TWO NICKS! And the two pictures it took for me to create my NEW 'BUDDY ICON'! An INSIDE JOKE for you - I chose the 2x2 white tile with a black stenciled dot to remind me to accept MODERN ART. the inside joke has to do with Dan Rather, Sister Wendy Beckett (an English art historian) and a painting in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in Manhattan! Maybe one day I'll tell you it. The painting had one small black dot in the uper right hand corner and the rest of the wall sized canvas was white! So do you think we look alike? (lol)
About this creation

Me with my 9-11 shirt it cost $10 but $5 is going to the memorial at the Twin Towers!
For one year I will honor, remember and respect the victims of 9-11. Each of my creations will have a 9-11 memorial starting off the page. I'd like to give a big handshake, hug, kiss to all the people here on MOCpages that remembered by creating WORLD TRADE CENTER buildings done in LEGO you too honor the fallen of 9-11 GOD BLESS ALL OF YOU!

Quoting Omotenium _ Nick, I have to say it and I guess here's as good a place as any. Yours is my favorite gallery on mocpages. I'm going to school now for design, and your background in it certainly shows in your mocs. You're really able to make the most out of a only a small number of pieces. Despite other builders slaving away for hours to create grand sculptures, 5 foot long spaceships, ultra detailed modular houses, your simple designs are always more intriguing to me. It's almost revalatory. I wish you worked for Lego.
First of all let me say a very big THANK YOU for your wonderful comments. Yes, this is as good a place as any to express yourself! My simplicity is born of what I call LEGO Style. Each of their city houses is normally a 6x16 space for a reason, the little kid is at the forefront of the LEGO mindset! So they make things simple for SMALLER hands, a kid has to be able to move a mini-figure around! If it got too big, for example how could a kid get the figure through the door? Then another major part of "LEGO Style" is to say it with very few words! or a very little number of bricks! I am overjoyed you caught it! Once again THANKS! Oh, I wish I worked for LEGO too! As an Educational Consultant or a toy editor!

Yep, that's a pretty good representation of you. By the way, I believe the accepted term for these is Sig-Fig, or signature minifigure. Keep up the good work!
