So, our hero currently has a massive bellyache. A rough description would be "like he's got a whirlpool in his bowels".
"Aagh!"
*thump-clatter*
"Ow.. well, swirling's gone."
"Where's my.. where's my gun gone?"
*grope*
"Ah, hello."
"Urgh."
"Huh, looks like some kind of control room. How the hell'd I end up here?"
"Pistol.."
"Wait a minute.. some of my memory's coming back. This is Sensor Control, and if I remember right, it's just next door to Tactical Command."
"Hang on, something's seriously wrong. My suit chrony says it's ~0400 hours, July 15th, 2614. But that clock on the diagnostic computer says ~1500 hours, July 13th. That can't be right! They're automatically synchronized. Well, given the weird stuff that seems to happen to me, I suppose time travel isn't too outlandish. Either that, or I got abducted by aliens."
So, what'll you do?
Majors:
A: leave.
B: lay low and hope the maintenance guy doesn't come back (since it's bad form to leave maintenance hatches open all day).
Minors:
C: weld the access panel shut, on the assumption that you're in the past and if your past self can't sabotage the sensors, the guys in the present/future won't be trying to kill you.
D: shoot up the console, since you're obviously supposed to sabotage the sensors. But that might frak up the timeline, since your past self is probably supposed to do it.
E: see if you can't find some interesting news on the ship's network.
F: go for a more subtle sabotage, and use that diagnostic computer to render the sensor cabling non-functional without a load of lazor scars.
Rules:
You vote for which action this guy performs. You can vote for one "major" action or two "minor" actions each round. You can only vote for one major or two minor actions in each round. A major action and a minor action cannot be performed in the same round. One singular minor action can be voted for, if you so wish.
You have until the 23rd, and before any of you shout Deus Ex Machina, this was SUPPOSED to happen this round no matter what you did.
I'm not going to say if it's time travel, an alternate universe, vivid hallucinations or alien abduction, naturally. There will be answers, though, sooner or later.
(And yes, this IS related to the week-long pause. Plot rewrite and all that.)

Don't have any. Love to, though. Wouldn't be as mobile, but it'd allow for characters who weren't wandering around with their hands on their sword hilts all the time. |
