Hundreds of firefighters from all across the region paid respects on 4/9/11 to FF Smith in Lego Twp at St Marks Church. Over 50 rigs from Jakeland, Rochelle Heights, Lego Twp, St Lego, Brick Twp, Port Lego, Bergen Heights, North Lereado and Riverside Borough participated in the biggest funeral procession in the history of the Lego Fire Community.
There are over 90 pics, all can be seen on 2 pages on my MAJ site. Rememberů there are 2 pages!
Also credit for the casket goes to Lego Fire Museum.
I wanted to make a lego tribute to 9/11 this year. But anyway, this is great. TO THOSE WHO RISKED THEIR LIVES TO SAVE INNOCENT PEOPLE, I SALUTE YOU. TO THOSE WHO DIED INNOCENTLY OR LOST THEIR LIVES TRYING TO SAVE OTHER LIVES, I SALUTE YOU ONCE MORE. AND TO THOSE WHO DID WHAT THEY DID FOR THE GLORY OF GOD AND NOT FOR THEIR OWN, I PRAISE GOD.

The few pictures here do not do the funeral justice. We (Matt, me, Anthony & Mike) took a ton of pictures. I counted 162 pictures of this on my camera alone! You need to see Matt's Majhost site for more pictures. What you all see here is nothing more than the tip of the iceberg. You all will really be impressed when you see it. At some point, I will be uploading my pics of the funeral on Lego Twp Fire's site, moc page and brickshelf page. I'm sure Mike will post pics (maybe), as will Anthony at some point. It was a tremendous honor to do this incident with these guys and was also honored to host the event. BTW, Matt, you left the deceased and his family at my house. I may need to do the private burial service now. LOL!!
Very well done. My Department buried one of our own four years ago. I know that the nothing touched me more than seeing our brothers and sisters from our neighboring departments standing and saluting the funeral procession as I stood on back step of the pumper carrying the casket. The Brotherhood really is amazing. You capture that very well. Plus you have many nice details throughout.
I'd love to chat with you about this. If you would like, drop me a line at BFD552@gmail.com.
