AH-21 "Sparrow Hawk" Light Attack Helicopter
Designed for Dawn Forge Air Command to meet a demand for a small, cost effective, multi-role helicopter, the AH-21 is an ideal platform for observation, insertion, and light attack duties. Twin 40mm cannons and 4 anti-armor missiles make short work of enemy troops and lightly armored vehicles. Other varients mount twin 10mm gattling guns for close air support. Yet another varient is unarmed and is used exclusively by Dawn Forge Special Forces. It's small size allows the Sparrow Hawk to be deployed in greater numbers than most other attack aircraft.
About this creation

A single pilot controls the craft and manages the weapons systems.

Nose mounted sensors and camera systems keep the pilot informed.

It's two massive turbo-shaft engines give the AH-21 a top speed over 250mph.

The weapons systems can easily be configured for the task at hand. Pictured above is a close air support version with twin mini guns.

The "Mosquito" variant is used to insert Special Forces soldiers into hostile territory.

I have added the original LDD file that I used to design this. I was using an old version of LDD, so some parts weren't available then.

Quoting Lego NavySeal Thanks for adding the file. I don't understand how the canopy is attached though.
There is a hinged 2x4 plate in the front that the canopy is attached to.

Sort of. I designed this with LDD a few years ago. It is the old format with no canopy, but I guess I could post it.

Quoting Cade . It isn't so easy packing details into a small helicopter, but you managed to pull that off really well. Good job.
Thanks Cade! This was my first "real" MOC and one of my best I think. BTW, I have been commenting on your surrealistic MOCs and I am inspired to try my hand at one. Stay tuned...

So far for weapons I have a fixed 30mm chin gun.Dont worry about it being fixed because the craft could have its nose down and still fly straight. Also have two rocket pod's.Im still adding detail's to it.

Shrike is as costly as the FX-99.The cost of the intergrated avionic's into the cockpit window is worth more than the plane itself lol. Shrike use's the same engine, avionic's and weapon's as the FX-99 its slightly less costly but the project is mainly for the navy unless your country is whilling to adopt the zero length runaway takeoff system.

Quoting Josh Guilbert The checkbook thing was a joke LOL but this chopper would come in handy considering out country has alot of Urban, mountian, artic and farm land.We have many base's in the artic mountian area that require a small but deadly chopper. We've had some crashes in the past with larger choppers.
Perhaps you could trade a few Shrikes? We need a good ground attack drone. :-D

Quoting Jacob Carroll This is my favorite thing you've built yet. But I'm wondering, how did you get the background to be perfectly white(there is probably a very easy solution to this)?
Thanks! I photograph all of my stuff with white poster board as the background and adjust the light so that there isn't much shadow. Whatever isn't perfect I fix in Photoshop. BTW, can I join the UKDA?
