About this creation
Here's a little number I forgot to post a little while ago. I've been wanting to make a surreal forest for a long time and talking to Shannon Young recently gave me the kick in the ass I needed to return to a bit of sculpture.
I always loved the frottage style paintings by Max Ernst. So this one is a combination of Ernst, H.R. Giger and Nannan, of course. It's a little on the simple side-- I'd LOVE to build a huge, detailed version, with the bird actually caged by the mechanical-looking forest. Ahh, if only I had the time to build everything I wanted to...

Sweet dreams my friends...

The only thing that would be an improvement? A mechanical werewolf howling at the moon! Seriously - that would be awesome! |

This is not just a MOC. As you said it is sculpture. You are not just an AFOL, you are truly a LEGO artist. |

Very nice! I love the mechanical look; it looks like actual branches at first and then a closer look makes it look like a machine. |

Creepy to the max! I thought you photoshopped in the moon, but then I realized you actually used a piece for it! I can definitely see the "Nannanism"/"Burtonism" in this, which makes it awesome! |

This should be called "Midnight in the Forest of vaguely evil-ish thingys that might make you scared or feel really ghoulish -- or not."
I don't claim to understand abstract art, or much of anything else, but I like this! |
