A VTOL Hikari Gunship flies over ground crew at an airfield.
About this creation
I'm pretty certain the pilot of one of the Hikari Gunships witnessed the moment my heart broke.

It was last week, I was pushing spent fuel rods across to the protectorate bunker when I saw Etsuko in the gas tank pit.

I've had a crush on her since I was appointed here to the Space Force base on Kitadaito.

She didn't grow up here on the island, she's from the mainland, moved here from Kyoto after the Blacktron incident killed most of her family.

She's beautiful, smart and funny.

I never spoke to her, I always meant to, but what do you say to one with the beauty of a goddess?

Her smile melted my brain, I just couldn't get out a word, but I knew one day I would and it would all work out.

A dream? Maybe. Yes, that was what I had.

Then I saw her look at Katsu as he drove past on the fuel transport.

It was the look I always wanted her to flash at me, one of love and respect.

Worse, that bleach blond poseur; he waved to her.

They are friends, they have spoken. They obviously like each other.

My heart is doomed. As the Hikari gunship flew over my head it brought only darkness, my hope dissolved, my heart broke.

I finished my shift of course. Honor demands I do a good job.

For without honor how am I ever going to win the heart of an Etsuko of my own?

One of the best smaller sci-fi dios I've seen in a long time! I like the focus on clean-studless appearance, there are so many details crammed in here I never got bored. Excellent! |

Very nice build! I love how the scene is made almost more important than the vehicle by the nice love story. Hope he scores the girl in the end. |

Stunning! Love the colors. Red, white and green all in one MOC. I lack the courage. That little utility tractor is absolutely the best use I have ever seen for the trike frame. As for our lonely boy...he doesn't deserve her. No swing, no hit. Besides, he needs to stay focused on his job. I bet Blondie is going to crash that tractor of his. Attack! |

Dude, that ship is too good! You know though, I'd love to see different wings. Not that those arn't rad, but if I were you I'd probably also do another set of wings, or like, a version 2.0. Seriously though, it's really good. |

Hi, I'm a big fan of yours and really appreciate what you bring to Lego, both professionally as well as an AFOL. Your diorama reminds me of my own creation - Runway 10 (parts 1 and 2). Congrats on another great job. Cheers! |

The gunship looks great and I think our love forlorn character should arrange a little fuel accident for "Blondie." That way his competition is burnt to a crisp and he can have a shot at the girl he loves, awwwww! See what happens when you let demented AFOL's leave comments. |
