It's a dry and dusty day in Southwest. Tumbleweeds are prevalent, and the periodic, eroding tire along Route 66 gives the strange impression that cars did once drive its cracked and pitted asphalt. An old man, rifle in hand, with all his earthly possessions strapped to his back, trudges beside the ancient road; a road with no end in sight.
