During the 14 months in which he searched for witches in East Anglia, Matthew Hopkins is believed to have been responsible for about 400 deaths. To give substance to his activities, he claimed that he held 'the Devil's list of all English witches'.
Well I really wanted a break from any type of medieval builds, but then I got asked by a friend if I would like to display a model at our local town hall for a witch exhibition. I couldn't really say no as I did a display for them the previous year. So here it is!

Cool creation Luke! Detail level high as always and a fine display of limiting yourself to the important features :) However..Were witches not burned instead of hanged?
Thanks. No, the idea of burning witches is one of those urban legends that has kind of just stuck. If you look up the history on the subject, you will find that 80% or more of all witch trials ended with the witch being hanged.

It's just perfect. Absolutely perfect. Suggestion: To make those stone walls more substantial (and sturdy), how about mixing some 1x2 plates into them? It must be a pain to assemble them, as I imagine that they would crumble when sticking plates onto a row of them. Just a thought. |

Impressive work as always. I'm glad you added some more pics this time, but I'm really wondering: Do you ever take also pictures from the back sides of your magnificent creations? |

"What do we burn witches with? MORE WITCHES!" I had Monty Python going through my head, so I just couldn't resist :) Awesome work; the lady whose already hung creeped me out! The Witchfinder General must have been one bad dude to have those poor, non-witches hung like that! |
