Agreed by many to be the laziest creatures in the entire universe. Not only do they rarely move around, but they are able to eat practically ANYTHING.
About this creation
Before reading this page, this is an entry to Dacheronar Grahen's B-Day Dragon Contest. As such, I was building to his restrictions. Since my dragon is bipedal (most of the time) he had to be shorter than 20cm to get in. He changed the restrictions later so taller dragons could go in but by then this gy was already in production.
He is almost completely monochromatic. There are two non-black pieces in him; his eyes (a trans-purple rod thing) and a small, hidden grey stud pin attatching some of his back plating on.
This is also my first MOC using those new HF parts! Hooray!

The Krahtorak is a rahi created by Makuta Deciphus before he became the Lord of Shadows (Or Kra-Nui) known as Nivorn. His fascination with shadow and the energy of his own being was shown in the rahi and plants he made, all of which having something to do with shadow energy. Of them all, the Krahtorak is probably the most useless.
They are flightless, yet incredibly strong. They are capable of moving around on two legs, but, as this is tiring, most of them employ their curled fists as secondary feet. This is when they decide to move around at all. Most of them are generally happy to stay put for days on end basking in both sunlight and darkness.
Odd among reptilian species is the Krahtorak's ability to not just bask in sunlight (which most reptiles do to keep warm) but in shadow. Their wings absorb darkness and, when threatened, a Krahtorak will release its stored shadows in a violent blast of non-light while at the same time making its getaway.
Most rahi suffer from such a blast, dwindling and dying afterwards. Most matoran unwise enough to provoke this action from a krahtorak have ended up insane. As such, predators tend to leave these cretures alone. This suits them just fine.
Wild krahtorak live in jungles where it is warm even at night, and there are ample supplies of interesting fruits available. At a push, a krahtorak can eat and digest virtually anything, but they have no taste for meat and posess an insatiable sweet-tooth.
When it comes to matoran, they have found that there is absolutely nothing that the krahtorak can do for them that is useful. Even domesticated, and even with their great strength, they are far too lazy to do any physical labout for farming matoran, etc. Their shadow attack when threatened makes them dangerous to work with, as well.
On Korrothis, the Isle of Lords, a colony of these creatures lived in the environs of Lord Nivorn's tower. Nivorn enjoyed their peaceful, carefree company.
This colony stayed on Korrothis even when it began flying. After Nivorn fell to Teridax, they still lived on under the watch of Telzira until the island began its journey into space. They went into Bota Magna.
So, Dach, here's my entry. As you guys might be able to tell, I've had some inspiration from How To Train Your Dragon. Oddly, I've never seen the film, but Toothless is still a big source of inspiration. As were gorillas.
I must say that this is epic. I definitely see the half gorilla/dragon appearance. It's gonna be really tough between you and Baron von Ben as you have one of the finest entries at the moment. You put me in a really tough decision to see which is better: big and awesome or small and awesome :P Thank you for entering the contest =)
really cool! i like that it has a backstory! I Was planning on building dragons when im like 15 (in 2 years) and quit regular bionicle's! but maybe not.... who knows!?! I like this moc, i'm starting to find it cute lol! :P
I love the wings aloT! The arms and legs are amazing!
