This is my entry into the 2011 MOC Athalon.....category is:
14. Sci-Fi Concept Art: (Edited for clarity)
Build a model of an spaceship or another futuristic, science-fiction OBJECT, which would make George Lucas or James Cameron proud!
No size restrictions!

In honor of Mister Parrington tackling the MOC A's on his own, and me owing him a ship or 30....I dedicate this entry to him.

The GAIA started a competition to pick out the best pilots out of the crop of weeds. Just as in the days of old with the Reno Air Races, the GAIA felt that creating a race would not only raise morale, but show them the best pilots the galaxy has to offer.

This is a GAIA racer that was in the Saturn Stellar Races. While many people join the race every year, the GAIA only chooses the top 2 to move on to their elite fighter school.

This ship uses a unique thruster system to maneuver through the stationed satellites on the race course. Each wing engine has the ability to manipulate individual thrusters, allowing this beast to turn on a dime.

Even though there are a few fatalities every year, the GAIA pilots recruited from the races have moved on to excel in their positions.

Long live the GAIA!!!!

i like the main pic best! as it shows the sleek shape of this ship, it looks as racy as it s dedication, fine scheme! after seing the sport version, now i m curious about the hunting package! lol! good job heath!

hehe, thanx mate! A fun looking bird mate, and love the back story, so the way we roll at GAIA... I wish I had had the time to try and round out the MocA, but alas, I'm human, lol... By the way, I think you have outbuilt me in the end, i only got nine or ten done, I think you are close to that!
