The Trade Federation Core Ship is in fact the heart and brain of the Droid Control Ship ( see my previous creation ) I've used Bram Lambrecht Spere Generator program to create the small (18studs) globe for making the center of my Droid Control Ship. Now I'm going for big. 84 studs wide globe with over 30000 pieces when finished.

About this creation

I really wanted to make a large globe As I had lots of black and red plates I made a 48 stud world globe. Bruce Lowell did make one some years ago, but this try-out was more for knowing how this 6 large elements would fit together.

So I put them together with technic elements.

The 48 studs were nice but I not big enough so I created again with the Bram Lambrecht sphere generator ML Cad and Lego digital designer a big globe of 84studs wide. I've put the 48 stud element next to the 84 stud element so it give you a idea of the size. Once put together it will measure some 90cm wide (just the globe)
I've used 2600 plates (light gray and dark gray) for each element. 15600 for the globe.
Inside the globe there's a cube take will keep the large elements together. The cube is made of 3150 bricks.

The 6 large elements are almost similar, but the top part is different containing four cavities were I'll put the military droid feedback antenna's on (they are missing on my Droid control ship).

Next steps will be the construction of the Military Control Tower and the Command Bridge that will be upper section.
The Lower section will have the landing gears and the ventral thruster.

I have no plans for the droid control ship. The droid control ship was build without digital program. The Core ship however (the globe) is made with the Sphere Generator of Bram Lambrecht. This program allows you to build globes up to 99studs wide. LDview (from MLcad -program) is needed to see the 1/6 of the globe. You will have to make 6 equal parts and then join them on a cube inside.
