These were originally preliminary photos (hence the blurriness of some) and I was planning to add a bit more to the MOC, but the contest is ending a day earlier than I thought and I have no time left - there's no way we're even close to winning, but I wouldn't want what time/effort I did put into this to be completely wasted so I'll just put this up...
Space pilot astronaut guy blah blah blah ship crashes blah blah blah he seems to be on a world with bio-mechanical life forms et cetera et cetera isn't he fortunate this planet has a breathable atmosphere since his helmet isn't sealed despite the chances being somewhere around 1/1000000000 blah blah ok i'm done.
And our stranded pilot discovers an oddly familiar creature...
Some images focusing on the plants:
In case it isn't already obvious, all of the plants (aside from the yellow and orange vines and the little red... things) were designed around a symmetrical pattern of 3, so that even though they are very different in color and appearance they share some structural similarity, as if they perhaps evolved from a common ancestor.
Quoting Lord Oblivion
Very nice job DT. Glad you're using the ground idea I told ya :D Works well here, everythings nice just it needs some type of alien thingy floating behind him? Presumably going in for the kill? :P
Not every alien planet has to be populated by aggressive carnivores... :P
That is priceless!! I have not seen such a well done bionicle landscape in a long time! there has been some pretty intense stuff in this category, but I think you're gonna nail some 5's! Congrats on a well done MOC!
