AEGAKS Units Update
We never stop moving foreward. That is life. Once you stop moving, you are no longer alive. Keep on moving foreward!
About this creation
Well, as I've done in the past, I constantly tweak my MOCs, improving them slightly each time. Here are several improvements I think you guys will enjoy.

Unit: AEGAKS-102-MYe
Pilot: Jack
Status: KIA

When Kenichi began to customize the six Arkhams to suit the pilots' individual skills, he determined that one must remain as it was to be a control during the battlefield testing. Jack volunteered his prototype to remain as the control unit.

Jack's Arkham had minimal changes, all geared to his choice of weapons. He prefered have a pair of pistols and combat blades. The only real changes made were clamps on the pauldrons to accomadate the blades and the pistol holsters at the hips. He also convinced Kenichi to add a buckler style shield to the right arm.

The arm was the perfect shape and length to allow for the blades to be attached to the pauldrons, and to be comfortably removed and replaced by the hands.

Jack using both blades. When training as an infantryman, Jack excelled in the use of blades in hand to hand combat. While many prefered to learn a martial art, Jack's style was more akin to street fighting, anything goes.

At the hips of Jack's unit were two holsters for holding the twin pistols of his choice.

Since it was awkard to pull the pistols while they are facing back, the holster clip swings outward, giving the arm room enough to collect and return the weapon to its place before swinging back into storage position.

Jack was Killed In Action shortly after Hayato was recruited, during a holding action to stop a drone breach at the remaining bridge between the Urban and Agricultural Sectors. The Exo Force managed to salvage the unit and Kenichi rebuilt the Arkham, mostly because of his own ego. He reluctantly passed the rebuilt 102 to Hayato for use.

Unit: AEGAKS-102-MYe
Pilot: Hayato
Status: Active

Hayato's variant of the 102 once he "inherited" it from Jack. Hayato hated the pistols and disliked the pauldrons. He got into several arguments with Kenichi, mostly over why he wasn't allowed to customize his unit like everyone else. Keiken finally stepped in and convinced Kenichi to at least install different pauldrons.

Having been a soldier, Hayato is most accustomed to using a rifle, and this shows heavily in his fighting style. However, before being a soldier, he was a street punk, and thus is highly unpredictable and typically fights like a brawler.

The new pauldrons are nearly as effective as the original elbow-mount shield, while permitting better balance. There is a slight reduction in range of motion at the elbow, but the offered protection more than make up for it. Kenichi constantly complains that he is always having to fix Hayato's pauldrons, until Ryo points out that it was better to fix them than the whole arm.

Unit: AEGAKS-105-MOr
Pilot: Ryo
Status: Active

Ryo customized his AEGAKS himself, using scrap from older machines, including one his father had kept. At first, Kenichi was in stitches over what Ryo had done to his master piece, but when he saw the enhanced performance to Anti-Air combat, he began to customize the other units to fit the pilots.

Ryo's head unit features a miniturized radar system that further enhances his abilty to spot and combat enemy air forces. Alright, so this was the modification that I made to the 105. I was really satisfied with this one, save for the head. It seemed a little plain.

Unit: AEGAKS-108-MRd
Pilot: Takeshi
Status: Active

During the same battle that Jack was killed, Takeshi's AEGAKS took heavy damage to the left arm and shoulder, as well as the effective destruction of the shotcannon on the SAW pack that was mounted to his unit.

Kenichi, deciding that the shotcannon had not been very effective, especially in comparison to the gatling on the right side, decided not to replace the weapon that had been destroyed. Instead, after replacing the arm and shield, he installed the gatling on the left side, leaving an armor cap on the right.

In the shotcannon's place, Kenichi present to Takeshi the Archer Cannon. The Archer Cannon is a miniturized Jouster Cannon that has been squeezed into a bazooka equivilent weapon.

The barrel has been miniturized and fitted to fire standard size ammunition, albeit at more power. The unique revolver-like magazine has also been exchanged for a more standard ammobox.

Despite the heavy weight of the Archer Cannon, the Titan is more than capable of using it to maximum effect. Because of the miniturization, it cannot not be used as an artillery piece. Takeshi can simultaneously fire the Archer and the Gatling, giving his AEGAKS unparalled suppressive capability, and the second most destrutive, after the Fawkes.

Size comparison of the Archer Cannon. It is the largest handheld weapon that I have produced to date.

In addition to the Archer Cannon and Gatling, Takeshi's AEGAKS is capable of using standard weapons, including the original SMG.

This one is for CEO Camargo. We were discussing the weapons, and he built one of these. It looks like an uzi.

The weapons, featuring the Archer Cannon, the original SMG and the Uzi that CEO had shown me.

OTHER EQUIPMENT

I made a variety of other equipment, mostly weapons, seen here being modeled by a standard version of the Arkham.

First up is an experimental beam rifle that Kenichi was working on. While highly destructive, the rifle can only store enough energy for 10 shots, and is extremely high maintenence.

It's kind of small, looking more like an SMG, but does heavier damage than any other weapon save the Jouster and Archer Cannons.

Light enough to be held and fired single handedly, the Beam rifle is a useful weapon for dispatching multiple drones at once, since the beam can cut through several drones in a single firing.

Nexst up is the newly redesigned main rifle. The original was just fine, but the new one looks more like an actual rifle.

If you will note, while it did keep the original scope, the redesigned rifle now features an actual stock. it's tucked under the arm at the elbow, just like the real thing.

The arm even has to bend to accomadate the new rifle, of which I am very pleased. I think this one will stay exactly as it is.

Last, but not least, we have the new Beam Lance. This is exactly the same type of Beam weapon that is embedded into the elbows of the M Frame AEGAKS, but this one is independant of the frame and any external power source.

While it is active, the Beam Lance can operate for an amazing 10 minutes, due to an energy recycling system that feeds the energy back into the power cell. These weapons make excellent hand to hand weapons, and even better last ditch efforts.

Remember way back when I first posted the Arkham? This weapon has been around since then, but I never got around to posting it. So here it is. And remember, do not have the shiny end pointed at yourself when you turn it on.

Here is a picture comparing much of the new equipment. In there you can see the Beam Rifle, the redesigned Rifle, the pistols and blades, the Beam Lance, and the buckler used by Jack.

MISCELLANEOUS CONTENT

These are pictures I felt like taking. I'll let them do all the talking.

CREATOR'S NOTES:

Phew, I'm glad to get all that out of my system. Thanks for visiting this update, I hope you've enjoyed it.

Oh, and somewhere in here is a hint to a future project. See if you can find it.

Quoting Shadowa Heartfelt I have a question?..What happened to the Geras? Or has it simply been "decommissioned"?
No, the Geras still exists. I'm pretty much happy with the design, so I haven't toyed with it at all. Maybe eventually I'll modify it or tear it down, but I'm good with it for now. And do note, the Geras is not a Project Story Arc build, meaning it doesn't have a place in the story.

Well that smal red piece is actually a scope lense. I tend to use transred for scopes and cameras. Thanks for the feedback!

Quoting Rai Schrado Excellent upgrades Rabid! I think the Titan is my favorite, though previously it was the Solice. The D-Frame I use is based on the Solice, especially the arms and upper body. I think the next project you mentioned in your creator's notes is on the right side of the first Mathril Picture. Anyway, Great upgrades, and I look forward to your next mech.
Thanks for the feedback. Yeah, I like the upgrade to the Titan far more than the original design. The "Wings of Death" was a good idea, but it just seemed a little underpowered with the shotcannon. The new Archer is far superior.

Quoting Mike Johnson Delightful refits and upgraded weapons all around. Still trying to decide which is my favorite unit.
For the moment, I'd have to say mine is the Titan. The Archer Cannon was by far the most fun I'd had with a weapon in a while.

Thanks. They say that a weapon is an extension of the wielder, and I'm sure you would be proud to be wielding these extensions, yes?

Aamazing as always Jason! Our conversations are very productive, aren't? Thanks for the credits, but in fact you deserve the credit. I loved all improvements, but the Archer Cannon and the Beam Rifle simple made my heart skip a beat. I know about your future project (In fact I imagine it is about the idea that I told you yesterday) but I will keep my mouth shut 'cause it's unfair as I always know things firsthand... For the god sake keep building these beauties! Only a week until my next LEGO dark age... I will miss you guys.
