I'm going to let the pictures do the talking for now...
About this creation

Background Info:
The idea for this creation came to me while I was sitting in church; I thought up a scene where people were walking past a beautiful object, too preoccupied with their own worries to notice it. As it turns out, my favorite artist, Norman Rockwell, beat me to the punch: he painted a picture named “Lift Up Thine Eyes”, in which people walk past a city cathedral with their heads pointed downwards, ignoring the splendor of the cathedral and missing a flock of doves flying overhead. I didn't have the right pieces to make an exact interpretation of the scene, so I put my own spin on it. I must admit, I did not enjoy building this creation; the arches were a pain in the neck to make (I mean that literally: I spent many a day stooped over re-building them), and my inexperience with architecture means I struggled with the rest of the build. Still, I am very satisfied with the end result. My hope is people will look at this creation and maybe remember to look upwards now and then :)

I'm afraid I'm one of those people who gorget to look up. For some reason living in the desert makes your eyes find the horizon. this is a great model, great concept and great presentation. |

Nice build, and great little message too! It's so easy in our culture to get preoccupied from the truly important things in life. Well done! |

April Fool's is the only day of the year I could possibly call this a bad build. I love those peaked arches, and that's no joke.
Thanks for the compliment! I really meant it when I said I never ask for views; I was just joking, but your gesture is apreciated. Thanks!
