...Must Come Down. 2011 MOCAthalon entry for category "You Know What They Say" by team "Moist Towelettes"
About this creation

MocAthalon! 2011
Moist Towelettes
Edit - After judging was completed
Spoiler Alert: Scroll down to see how it was done...

No photoshop was used. Simply dental floss and gravity. The "strings" remain in hand by use of a modified (read: cut) Ringmaster's whip. When photographed, I simply cropped the photo and flipped it, viola!

Neat trick Dave. Congrats on the perfect score. I love the look of this, the tree construction, the balloons and the Fabuland fig make me think of Maurice Sendak or the Moomins - odd childrens books rule! Good luck Bats. |

Quoting Leda Kat =^..^=
Did you lose any of this to gravity at any time? 5 points. (Also... how did you do it? It looks too heavy for a Lego built support...)
I added a behind the scenes after judging was complete. And no, I never lost any of it to gravity, but then I don't have to deal with earthquakes. |

I see those white support beams... flipping this thing must have been mildly stressful. The balloons look great, and the techniques and part usages make this look like a scene from an old children's cartoon. |

I really like the tree building technique, especially how you did the root (yes, the root). And it's really clever taking the pic upside down. Excellent work, detective. |
