Unknown Histories - Tale One / Man meets Draggone.
Well, my Mocathalon team is down to me at the moment guys, and Mike if he gets a chance. Thus, I will be uploading alot over the next week, so to my usual friends, please don't feel like you are expected to comment on everything! I appreciate that none of us wants to be spending all night commenting on people who build too much, so sit back and enjoy the show, and only comment if you realy feel like it. And if I happen to miss some of yor builds in the mean time, please give me sometime and I'll get there eventually. Things should be back to normal soon, until then, cheers all.
About this creation
Mocathalon 2011
Category 4 - Man vs Wild.
'The Left Overs'

The following took place on the planet Earth, in Europe, in the year of our Lord 1230 AD.

1

A Knight of the Realm, Sir Francis rides through the Black Forest on his way home.

2

Undetected, an alien Draggone explorer scout flies into Sol, and discovers a rich blue planet awaiting to be plundered. Detecting no artificial satelites or real technilogical advancements apparent, the Draggone is caught off guard when a freak meteor tears through his crafts hull.

3

Losing life support, the Draggone decides to crash land on the planet he has found, hoping to fabricate a method of communications from the ground so as to call in assistance.

4

Crashland!!!

5

Sir Francis calms his rattled horse at the prodigous cacophony of the crash landing object from the sky. Seeing a figure dismount the strange unworldy carriage, Sir Francis also dismounts, so as to meet the stranger at no advantage, as honor dictates.

6

The stranger approaches and is armed. Sir Francis regocnises the Draggone's blade for what it is, but is uncertain as to what he carries in his other hand, when it emits a loud sound and a flash. Sir Frances turns the lightning bolt upon his shield and curses under his breath.

7

Swords meet...

8

The Draggone presses after bashing Sir Francis' shield away.

9

Sir Frances barely keeps his head as he ducks a vicious sword swing, but loses his balance...

10

Sir Francis is reeling upon the ground, strugglling to reclaim his feet as does any in full plate once knocked down. Certain death is upon him, the Knight turns his head just in time to witness his trusty horse launch into combat, and kick violently at the strange assailant.

11

Sir Francis scrambles to his feet and approcahes the recovering combatant, seeing clearly its alien face for the first time.

'What in Lord's creation art thou?'

'I am Draggone, master of the Universe. My kind shall enslave all your lands and peoples, and we-'

12

Snarling, Sir Francis swiftly decapitates the incolent creature, spitting his disgust.
'And I am Man, Christian Knight of the Realm, and I have defeated you...'

13

Sir Francis Nash continues his way home, unaware that some 10000 years in the future, his own decendant, Tanya Roberts, would too fight, the scourge of the Universe, the Draggone...

Quoting Topsy Creatori(StoveTop nomore!) Ah, ha! You posted this right before I joined the pages. So, I see you have always had a knightly theme within your stories! Great mesh! :)
Hehe, hey there :) Thanks for bringing me back here, and darn it looks like the great crash wiped out half the photos in this Moc :( And yeh, I've always had a knightly way of looking at GAIA, you know, it's a basically a Euro-centric liberal Christian monarchy that jousts with alien demons using space ships!

Like Leda said, the build was a bit weak, but adding a spaceship and an alien was a nice twist. Your score = 4. Now, can you build anything without a &^$$& spaceship in it?

Interesting take on the category indeed. The build is a bit weak (I know you can do better landscape and scenery than a patterned baseplate and some greens) but the presentation and outside of the box idea put you up a notch. 4 points.

Very well done, my friend! It's amazing how you manage to work GAIA into the MOCathlon. Besides that, a very, very nice First encounter scenario with the Draggone! ~Marc

Quoting El Barto ! Good story, Dude! I wonder what the other Knights (Sir Loin of Beef, Earl of Grey) will think when he gets back with that head on a stick? Won't they send a rescue ship to see where that Draggone guy went? Could be trouble! Put some coffee on, and keep building, Chief!

I know what you mean, sigh, I wouldn't have commented if I didn't read your text about it, I often do check mocs out but don't comment because I don't have time or I just don't know what to say or (not in your case) I don't like you but only the mocs :P
