Letholdus Castle WIP
Building a new castle tell me what you think! all of the main sections lift off for interior access. the chapel has nice stain glass windows. this is my first try at a church, non square towers, a waterfall, and a rock formation. And please leave comments and criticism! i need ideas on what to do with the whole front area...
About this creation

My favorite side of the castle..

The little postern gate by the dock for delivery of supplies by water.

The nice little area in front of the church.

I like this stain glass.

The residential area

i'm still not sure if i want the gatehouse this way

Staircase credit goes to Rocko

Hey, I will let you come back to the group only if you promise to be active when you don't inform us otherwise- 1 or 2 posts every 1 or 2 days. Reread the rules too. What do you say?

Sure! I tried to be active before but a ski trip didn't help...

Gorgeous so far! Love the hieght variation that you've got going on. The waterfall in the back area is a nice touch. I wonder, though, if clears only might be the right direction to go for the falling water. To me the white seems a bit stark for such a small falls. The stair work is probably the most prominent feature at this point, and is terrific. You asked about the front, and my initial advice would have been to add another level, so the ground drops again (more rocks, essentially), but you've already got it at ground level, so that kind of nixes that. Anyway, looking fantastic - keep up the great work!

Excelant! Though not done at the scale of Rocos, those stairs look perfect. Cant wait for more!

Quoting Peter deYeule Try to had some texture on the outside of the left wall. It doesn't look as good as the right wall. Good job on the rocks.
Thank you! Good suggestion about the texture! I think it will look better once I include landscaping, perhaps some trees..

Quoting Krazy Kastle Krak Guy Very nice job on rocks and chapel, keep bricking! Maybe you have to include a market in the inner court... what do you think?
I like the market idea! Also I was thinking I could put a stable and another building in the corner by the tower

Most came from bricklink and yeah it is sort of expensive.. I've spent a lot of money on light bley.. Light grey is more expensive, light bluish gray is a bit cheaper that's all I can tell you, I don't have any specific stores I just go to parts, select the part I want and look for good deals

This looks really nice. The walls are really well detailed. Also, where do you get all of your gray? Whenever I go on bricklink, light gray is actually a pretty expensive color. Do you have a specific store or something? I am in need of a lot of gray and would like to know.
