About this creation

XIOTA Spaceworks is pleased to present the ESC-311 CANCERON Class Escort.

This two man craft is designed to operate as one of several escorts within a battle group, providing a strategic defense perimeter around tactical assets.

Her armaments include 16 Merculite Rockets (8 fore, 8 aft mounted) and 4x2 Class A Directed Energy Rails.

She features a multi-mission aft bay that can be configured for cargo, scientific labs, or communication probe launch facilities (shown).

Engineers Note:

This craft was inspired as a cross between the official symbol for the astrological sign for Cancer in keeping with my zodiac theme, a Star Wars Tie Bomber, and a Kataan Probe from ST:TNG episode "The Inner Light". After CAPRICA and GEMINON, I wanted to try something a little smaller scale before jumping into my next massive lego project.

Man Dude this thing is sweet, Im surprised your stuff has not gotten more comments. You wouldn't be familiar with master of orion, the PC game. Your writing concepts of your weapons is similiar. Keep it up bro.

Thanks all for the complimentary feedback. Its appreciated! At some point half way through construction it just wasn't turning out the way I wanted and I was about to abandon it entirely in a "drop it on the floor blaze of glory", but at the end of the day it turned out to have a cool shape. Now to begin careful disassembly and construction of a new SHIP. Bricklink here I come! Thanks again for dropping in!
