DZ Ltd inc. presents the MCS Mk VI Voyager. A medium spacefreighter inspired by the famous 6929 Starfleet Voyager.
About this creation

Cruise Speed: Equ. Mach 30 + Hyperdrive
No ability for atmospheric flight
Autonomy: 10 days.
Cargo weight: 5 tons. Precious Cargo or quick delivery.
Weaponry:
Attack: 2x Laser Canons
defense: Turret 2x 20mm Cal. CRC Mass-driver
4x Dart (2x InfraRed - 2x EM guidance)
A tribute again to my very first Legospace, in 1981. I rebuilt it for the 6th time, so the title. And I do not think I can go any further... ^^
I wanted to keep from the 6929set:
overall design.
Studs up.
Slim waist.
Real freight capacity.
Cockpit with up and down views.
A neoclassic spacestyle.

Even with studs up, I find it very profiled!

Please note the slim waist and ... the big behind. Boy! This spaceship can carry big freight.

I did not notice it before I saw the pics: From behind, it's very close to the "blacktron II" style. Which I did not want. I guess I used to many black slopes to balance white pieces.
Or maybe it's because designers were inspired by stolen technologies?...
After that, I modified my MOC. Again. :)

Inside the cargo bay. There was this big black room which I had to fill (if I wanted to be part of the MOC community... ;)
Engine parts, thrusters components, Mass-drivers ammo, etc... I have no idea how it works but I really like those greebles. I like the sleek look.

I like the cockpit: wide, 300°view, HUD, panels just like an aircraft. The pilot is higher than in the original 6929. It looks cool!
But here is the only default I could not solve: by inverting the windscreen, it remained an unfilled 1mm space... Too bad!
The original freighter had only front canons but under multiple attacks... So the Combined Radar Conducted 20mm Mass-driver. Very powerfull against small or light shields and armored pirats'ships.
Note the firing mode: the sidewings move down to give 360°firing ability.

At last but not least: the prototype of the MCS without its weaponry. I find it very close of the 6929 spirit with the tails, the fixed sidewings and the single rotating radar.
That's all, folks!
I hope you enjoyed it. Please rate and comment. Thank you very much, Fred for the 120pics... ^^

well done. You should make some small vehicles to put in the cargo bay.
Thank you for the comment! It's a great idea you've got here. I will take some time to use it. |

Excellent. I did a remake of my life changing classic space set (LL918) a few weeks back. My brother had this one in its original form, your reworking is spot on for all the original features. :)
I'm going to check this 918 out... Thank you for the nice comment!! |

Encore merci. |

So glad I saw this! The 6929 is my favourite classic space ship and this is a wonderfully updated homage to it. Bravo! |

Hey, man, don't knock it because it looks like a semi-retro blend of BlackTron II and Star Wars. I actually LIKE the whole BlackTron II vibe myself in it and it's also a nice little freighter. Given some modifications, though, and it could make for one very tough bomber or heavy-armored fighter craft. It's very cool and it deserves more than one comment.
Thank you for the kind words, Jesse! I really do appreciate a lot.
Your comment gives me some ideas for up-grades... But later 'cause I want to achieve my freighters'series and most of all, build my dio.
Concerning numbers of comments... One has to accept to start from the bottom. When I see the high quality of creations shared: I keep humble.
