About this creation
The Inglorious ABStards
MocAthalon 2011 Group
The Wrestler
In the late 1980's, young Russian immigrant Glen 'The Goat' Gregorovich was on top of the wrestling world, raking in hundreds of dollars a month as the anti-hero to Randy 'The Stallion' Roberts. Now, over two decades later, his glory days long behind him, he still clings to the dream of once again being on top. His agent had told him that tonight's bout could land him a championship belt, a dream he had all but abandoned...

Announcer: 'Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to tonight's championship bout. Let's welcome our challenger, coming here all the way from former Soviet Russia, the one-time Heavywieght Champion of the Idaho Rural Wrestling Circuit... '

Announcer: '6' 2" and weighing in at 270 lbs...Glen 'The Goat' Gregooooooooorovich!!!'

Announcer: 'Now, let's give it up for our Champions!!!'
Glen: 'Wait, champions?!?!'

Announcer: 'The Midget Wrestling Championship duo of...'
Glen: 'Did he say midgets?!?!'

Announcer: 'At a combined height of 8' 8" and weight of 210lbs, Master ' Ewok Lover' Shifu and Sean 'Elf Boy' Keeeeeenneeeyyy!!!'

Glen: 'This is NOT what I had in mind...'

He probably should have stuck with the YMCA circuit...
Some panoramic shots...

Sans minifigs...

Fourth Dimension Commentary: The judges said keep it short, so short it is. This obviously could have been used in the Smack the Judges category, but by doing it this way I got to poke a little harmless fun at our beloved MOCPages creator as well as Shifu, both of whom are great guys. This is not meant to offend anyone who happens to be vertically challenged, I'm married to one. LMAO Honey, put down that frying pan...Go Inglorious ABStards!!!~H

HAHA! Nice work, man! The minute I saw the thunmbnail, I thought of Nacho Libre "these are my a-stretchy pants!". Didn't even realize that I'm in the crowd. Thanks, and great work on a well-deserved perfect score! |

Style is perfect. I'd been thinking about how to do a convincing ring with turnbuckles for a while and I love your solution. The only things missing are pyrotechnics, a steel chair and a bump through the spanish announcer's table. Great work mate. |

Not since the SWWF (Star Wars Wrestling Federation) have I seen another LEGO-themed wrestling MOC. Seriously, LEGO, this should become a new LEGO theme for you! Anyway, you have an epic build right there, Hans, especially with the wrestling ring. I hope to see more MOCs centered around this theme from you in the future. Nice job, sir. |

Thanks, at least, for giving me the chiseled-feature face. (Or am I the one so hideous that the mask covers my face?) :)
Thanks for the comment, Sean, it was all in good fun. The masked individual is Master Shifu Leo J, a fellow AFOL and good friend. Cheers!~H |

I can't tell if that's me in the lower left corner, and who I'm next to?
No, that's Lee Jones and the Sterlings; it would appear that I missed putting you in there. My figgy parts have been in quite a jumble since the Hard Knocks debut and subsequent 'song' entry, so you're not the only one.~H |

Hans, this is a beautiful rendition of world class buffoonery, er I mean, wrestling. Yeah that's it! Any hoot you have got finish the match some day. Maybe after a long brutal battle, the Goat is about to win only to have a gang of additional dwarfs rush in with chairs or whatever and give him the works. Obviously he would win by D.Q. but not gain the title. Wait a minute didn't the WWE just pull this one last night? Oh yeah, they do this bit every week, never mind. |

Blaring in the background is the the song 'Chase' http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4eBmeH0MAmk , only this time it ain't the Midnight Express entering the ring. It's the Midget Express - Sean "Elf Boy" Kenney and Master "Ewok Lover" Shifu - with their signature tag team move, the 'baby back ride skillet punch' ... Oh right, the MOC ... Stunning photography, kick arse build, and diarrhea-inducing humor! >> 5 points << |
