Why Kids Shouldn't Be Pirates
For the MocAthalon 2011 category: A Pirate's Life
About this creation
For the Lethal Donuts entry for the 2011 MocAthalon Category 17: A Pirate's Life

The captain might look like a mere child to his crewmen, but he is the son of a powerful and feared pirate lord of the southern seas, so don't be fooled by his looks.

Because of his heritage, "The Brat" is a very disturbed adolecent that no one wants to upset (or risk him throwing a tantrum). He has this bad habit of killing (including his fellow crewmen) when he doesn't get his way, especially when someone tells him to "clean his room".

Instead of pillaging for gold and riches of a traditional pirate, he desires what any other spoiled kid would want to do, such as eating lots of candy and keeping a messy room.

Because most builders would probably be making the same thing for this category, I've decided add a little twist to mine.

Unlike the usual pirate cabin, I made this guy's cabin to look similar like a modular bedroom of a small child, as well as his belongings.

Quoting Leda Kat =^..^= I didn't have to trip over this to recognise a five pointer. Excellent take on the category. Great build, heaps of delicious detail that work well for the "brat" character. I love the floor, it actually look just like wood! Awesome. 5 points easy. PS, what is that crazy rabbit face?! And where can I get one?
Wow thanks for the high score! The rabbit head is Sandy from a Lego Spongebob set.

I love the mix between pirate type belongings like the sword on the shelf, and the kid stuff, like the chest full of toys and the squirrel head. Nice work!

Quoting W. Mark Clever twist on this category! This blends a shipboard cabin and a messy bedroom quite well. Indeed, the only thing I can find wrong with this is the title... There shouldn't be an apostrophe in "Kids," because that makes it possessive rather than plural.
Blah... that's the one problems I have with my mocs. I'll get better..

Its a lovely twist, he is so adorable and bloodthirsty all at once. Clearly the red curtains and bed spread are the give away, well that and the severed head of Sandy!

Love the flooring. That is my favorite SNOT technique for floors, but the alternating browns really give it great texture. Poor, poor Sandy.
