About this creation
One hundred years in the future, man will have formed the totalitarian government that second-rate science fiction writers have been predicting for decades. Mankind will be herded into work hives, with no identity save a designation number and specified function. Their actions and thoughts constantly monitored by computers, those who develop a personal identity or deviant thoughts are swiftly terminated. For those rare few who posses the mental discipline to mask their thoughts from the monitors, their attempts at escape or sabotage all end with the unleashing of the Suicide Jesters. These cybernetic killers instill a paralyzing fear in their prey, allowing them to approach with their Funny Bombs, which are then detonated, taking out the would-be dissident. Although these clowns are in no way amusing, often the last sound heard from a rebellious hive member is hysterical laughing.
   This MOC was presented using a multi-frame composite technique that I use sometimes. The first picture here is the base shot with only the light effects native to the scene. The second picture has the transparent barrels illuminated. The third picture is diffused light applied to the scene. I took the base shot, added the glowing barrel, but nothing else from that second pic because the directional light can sometimes reflect off of surfaces where you don't intend to have light. Finally, the brighter pic was used only for the parts where the minifig's faces were too dark to be seen and objects needed to stand out from the dark. Finally, unwanted errors like dust specks and cracks in the wall were edited out.

I usually post extra goodies and usually some sort of how-to, but I only see my Legos on the weekend, and I took these shots right before heading back to college. I didn't have time for extra photos, so this was all I took. Some more pictures may follow this next weekend. |

very nice! i can totally understand your topic, as i lately tried the same, look at my tac-tech creation, as for a futuristic aproach, try my financial add, can t wait until i see your opinion on the matter! as for your clown concept, it s pretty good, your scene despict the scene perfectly, will you push this concept further? if clowns are killers in this future, i wonder what else is nightmarerish in your universe! poisonous cooks! lol! great concept! |
