Haven: A once private water facility has become a warzone in CTF.
About this creation
Hello there. Just another multiplayer map I created after my (barely) successful Sandtrap. As you can see this new map Haven has been based off of the scenery I did for my contest creation, the Runner. It's a CTF match, and it's the common red-vs-blue theme that everybody loves.

Here's a rear picture to show the interior of the mountain, something I hadn't even revealed while explaining the Runner yet still useful to my plans to use it as a multiplayer map.

Here's a Banshee view.

Instead of naming all of the Spartans here, I'm going to take pictures of basically everything that's going on instead. And right here, my friends, is the best pose of them all. A red Spartan furiously tries to fire his concussion rifle at the rather gymnastic blue Spartan.

Matrix pose!

Like on the Runner, I have added a red sniper Spartan to guard his base, in this case the mountain.

Bound to be a headshot any minute!

Too bad our sniper friend has failed to realize his assailant, a blue Spartan with the combat knife, lurking through the flora.

Here we have our blue security Spartan making a gigantic leap to save his acrobatic ally. He might break the whole bridge with that gravity hammer.

Now here's the best shot: blue Spartan with the OMG SPARTAN LAZOR has just given that red Spartan with the plasma repeater a shot he WILL forget.

If you're standing here, you're next.

Using teamwork to get to the objective, a blue Spartan with the DMR gets cover from our laser Spartan to jump to the objective on the next platform.

Under the first platform, a squad of red Spartans formulates a plan behind a (weakening) Deployable Cover. The shotgun Spartan says he wants to run to the last Missile launcher because it is unmanned; the Spartan with the incendiary grenade and assault rifle says to deploy the grenade and stay back in safety. The Spartan with the rocket launcher doesn't care: he'll be the last surviving squad member anyways. Oh, and there's that unmanned Spartan. What a fool.

A shot of the Deployable Cover, activated.

Here our two bravest red Spartans are running with full force, but will most likely die in vain.

Our friend with the trip mine awaits to blast that squad behind Deployable cover to bits, but he has failed to notice the bullet coming straight at his head...

Although hard to see (my bad), the blue Spartan will surely kill the red counterpart with the beam rifle beam.

The blue Spartan manning the Plasma turret sort of missed.

FLAMETHROWER! Kill it with fire.

The only red Spartan successfully able to board the Forerunner dock was this one, but he has come to notice that he certainly won't be the one who saves his team. As a last resort, he primes his plasma grenade just as the fuel-rod-gun-wielding blue Spartan advances on his prey.

So what is the objective for both teams? This here is the Teleporter, the one our friendly DMR-holding blue Spartan tried to get to earlier. And if there's one here, the other one must be...

...here! This is how the red can come out of the mountain to get their flag, and the blue can come in the mountain to get their flag.

The mountain is made up of three stories, each filled with many cool scenes.

The top floor has recently been "cleaned up" by our blue Spartan with the Invincibility just as his colleague with the needler enters through the portal.

On the second floor, a blue Spartan is NOT doing what you think. He's only carving a smiley face into the dead enemy's armor with his combat knife.

The blue Spartan with the flag! Oh how I'd never get to this one.

A would-be hero for the red team has, unfortunately, missed the flag carrier by just inches with his focus rifle.

With the plasma launcher in hand, will our red Spartan kill the flag carrier and save the game?

And on the bottom floor, we see two reddies bickering over what happened to the flag. The one with the maulers says it was Joe's fault, because he "left his guard off." The one with the carbine instead retorts that Joe wasn't doing anything wrong, and that he was simply overwhelmed while unaided. Oh, and for any of you who want to know, Joe is dead.

A blue Spartan using camo is ready to take out the red Spartan with the battle rifle while being completely unseen.

And then a shotgun-holding blue Spartan will also provide backup.

And here is the scene from the blue flag. I'm sure if it had feelings, the blue flag would feel fully protected by its blue Spartan soldiers.

Back in the mountain, the way that Spartans get up and down through the floors is with the elevator, shown here.

It can carry two people on it, but here it is shown with just one.

The canister in the middle was supposed to be a water storage tank, but it hasn't really shown to me that it was helpful to the building of the battle scenes. It just got in the way.

What's this? Could it be? A Ghost of Halo, yes. These things run around with no running animations, killing other Spartans on both teams with kills that go to "The Guardians."

The flora covers many of the assailants that lurk around the top layer.

Here is a climbing chain for reddies to move up and down the outside of the mountain easily.

Here are the three floating platforms, with the highest one containing the Teleporter.

And that's it! Hopefully none of you were offended with the fact that blue was pwning the red, but it just came to be, and I actually like red better than blue. I hope you liked it!
