Team Savage Gerbils: The Headhunter
Team Savage Gerbils entry to the 2011 MOCathalon. In the category "Spooktacular!"
About this creation

My Spooktacular diorama for the 2011 MOCathalon , although I may have passed from spooky into horrific...

I pretty sure the diorama explains itself, but a little back story, about a week ago, I was down by my creek (the creek is frozen over with maybe an inch of ice) here and there on the ice there are holes through it showing the running water, and I like to lie down and put my head into those, just watch the water y'know? And I had this terrifying thought about what it would be like if all of the sudden a pale head floated past in the water, inches away from my face, and that's where this creation came from.

He's found you, and he's ready to add you to his collection.

Here's a challenge, can you count all the DECAPITATED heads I included in this dio?

I hope you enjoyed as always, and thanks for checking this out!

Nice trick there Alex...putting that hair on the broom so you'd think it was a head when it wasn't. Yeah don't ask. Anyway great M.O.C!

The amount of decapitated heads WAS indeed eleven, four heads on each bank, and three on the river, great job to the people who snagged that one orangey-haired head I barely showed.

Oh, right! There's this category too! Although I must ask you: how can you decapitate a head?

Great work! Really spooky and creepy and very well built. You have paid particular close attention to all the heads that you have chosen and it helps complete the moc. The snow work and design of the dio is very skilfully done and I absolutely LOVE how you have made that head floating in the ice at your foot. 4 points.

A VERY solid 3 points from me! Spooky, creepy, good attention to detail and nice build. This fell short of 4 points by so little I can't even tell ya. I expect great things from you in this contest. Good luck!

I think it's spooky that you walk on ice and stick your head in the holes!!! Very good concept, but it's a little bit too busy with all of the minifigs. Sometimes a little bit goes a long way. Great build overall though. Good luck with the judges!

This is very spooky, but for some reason I have "Jingle Bell Rock" playing in my head now. Good luck!
