Invid Trooper LDD
The Invid/Inbit from Robotech/Mospeada. This was a reall pain to design, but it looks pretty good. If I ever get the chance, I'm building this for real.
About this creation

Mainline troopers for the Invid. Later versions are based of this basic design, and include the Invid Shocktrooper, identical to this except for two very large plasma cannons located on each side of the body.

I fumbled with this one for nearly 4 hours. Here's the link to the reference picture that I used, by the way.

Quoting Michael Crichton It's a pity that the right pieces don't come in purple. I've resigned myself to having to make it in blue, when I finally get around to making my own Trooper.
Tell me about it. If I get the chance to build this, I think I'll do it in red, as I've seen variations in red.

Quoting Mike Johnson You definitely need to build this for real. With a few modifications, it could also be a new droid for Spearpoint as well!
Funny you should say that, because this was actually an adaptation of the Stalker drone. Turned out rather well, didn't?

I Like This, And Trust Me, I Understand How Much LDD Can Be A Pain To Work With, So How Are You Liking Universe Mode?

Quoting Mithryl Dlarix AWESOME! I had no idea you were a robotech/MOSPEADA fan! Great stuff man! One lament I've always had is that I couldn't manage to build a decent Alpha Veritech/Legioss. Its still one of my favorite, if not my favorite mass produced mecha. I've tried to capture various aspects of it in my S-Type mk 3 and 4, but still haven't managed to do the real thing. Maybe someday.
I really liked the cyclones. I'm currently attempting to make a LDD cyclone as we speak. By the way, did you know that they made a destroid/bioroid combo called the ZBR-10 MK.I Bioroid Interceptor.

Quoting Mithryl Dlarix Hmmm...I don't know why my last comment didn't get posted. Anyhow--great job on this--it is spot-on! I'm a big fan of Robotech, and have been trying for a long time to get the Veritech Alpha design right, as it is my favorite mass-produced mecha of all time. I don't know why--it just appeals to me in every mode. Anyhow, great to see another Robotech fan out there! Keep it up!
I like the earlier Alphas, but some odd reason, I don't like the Shadow Fighters. Just the details, such as the head, and the hands, things like that. The Beta's are awesome though.

It looks great! Very nice parts usage, like the claws and the curved slopes are insane!

Quoting M<0><0>DSWIM ! Awesome work! I'd definately like to see this brickbuilt. I love Robotech and haven't seen many Invids let alone very cool and accurate ones like this.
Thank you. I love Robotech as well, and I stumbled on the main idea for the body and limbs when I created my Stalker Drone. Once I got LDD Universe mode, I looked up a picture and modified it to suit. Keep posted as I have more on the way.

Wow, nice! Is this photoshopped? I've never seen a red Atlantis helmet.

I've never been a fan of LDD, but when it's used properly, it looks great. The eye looks a little big but I love your technique for the hand/fingers.
