2012 Ferrara Igniter II XD Engine-City of Lego Heights Fire Department Engine 17
CLHFD Engine 17
About this creation
The Ferrara Igniter returns to CLHFD, this time in the form of Engine 17, a 2012 Ferrara Igniter II XD rescue engine equipped with a 1500gpm side-mount pump, 1000g water tank, and 100g Class A foam cell. Identical to Quint 12, E17's cab comes with an 8" raised roof, 18" front bumper extension, and an all-around LED lighting package.

This design has been selected as the standard engine company for the City of Lego Heights, and all engines ordered from here on out will be similar in design to E17. In compliance with CLHFD's 'Mandatory Fire Apparatus Specifications', Engine 17 has been outfitted with an EMS cabinet in the rear of the cab, a high-rise equipment compartment on the roof, and 4-color water tank level indicators. Engine 17 also comes with hydraulic ladder storage rack, allowing the truck to carry 75' in ground ladders. Another feature worth mentioning, is Engine 17's heavy duty impact bumper, allowing it to be used to clear obstacles from roadways, or scenes with ease. Along with the 'Mandatory Fire Apparatus Specifications' all front-line CLHFD vehicles will be fitted with similar bumpers.

Engine 17 is also the first CLHFD truck to carry decals, with the unit number, department badge, and others being placed around the vehicle.

Quoting Paul McKeever III ok whats the deal with all the F.D.N.Y stickers?
Haha, well when I thought about doing decals, I wanted the 'Professional Big City Fire Department' look, and immediately I thought of FDNY. The 'Dial 9-1-1' and 9-11 Memorial were just a couple of the ones that I thought would be most common on other fire trucks. The department website, compartment numbers, and EMS certification badge were added to get that professional look. I've also added decals to Quint 12, which I'll take updated photos of and post soon.
