Originally inspired by the work of Leon Powalski, the Poké Mart and five more Pokemon are the product of a snow day and putting off homework when I clearly had time to work on it. I'll let you, the viewer, decide whether or not it was worth it. Enjoy!
About this creation

An overview of the mart. Just like the game, right?

The sign. I'm actually very proud of it, considering that I've never done lettering before, and it looks very much like a piece of bacon. Shifu now wants to be a Pokemon trainer.

A youngster and lass showing each other their Pokemon.

Officer Phipson on his daily patrol.
Chris: "Why the heck am I in a Pokemon MOC? Seriously, I have a daughter. I don't even know the freaking plot to this nineties bull crap."

A shifty looking character and his Exeggutor prowl near the back of the mart.

Trash can, not a Pokemon.

The rear of the mart. Wait, what's that?

[Insert Your Trainer's Name Here] found a Pokeball! They're always behind buildings, I'm telling ya.

Roof greeblies. Roofies?

Now on to the interior...

The roof was made to come off easily to show what's underneath. Kind of like Kelso's android girlfriend.

With the "lights" also removed, it is easy to access the interior for playability. For photography's sake, I'm going to go with the good old "take off that there wall" technique.

A Hiker and his Geodude stock up for their next trip to the caves.

Shelves stocked with all sorts of merchandise.

Boxes of stuff that will keep you fighting on your feet.

Aisle 2: potions, antidotes, and paralyze heals.

Some of the more valuable items must be kept under lock and key behind the help desk.

Fourth floor: tools, guns, keys to super weapons...

The cashier.

Since I kind of got a 7-11 vibe from the interior after building most of it, I decided to make a beverage machine, complete with lids, cups, and napkins.

The red carpet lets you know that there's a door there.

Looks like that shady individual and his Exeggutor decided to rob the poké mart! Three trainers watch anxiously.
Chris: "Excuse me, sir, I'm going to have to ask you to return your Pokemon to it's ball and surrender those stolen goods."
Rocket Grunt: "Yeah, you and what army?"

*Pokeballs click open*
Rocket Grunt: "Gotta go!"
Chris: "Yep, all it takes is confidence and can-do attitude to stop crime!"
Venusaur: "Saur?"

A group shot of the Pokemon.

Seaking. While he didn't turn out quite like I had hoped, he went through too much revisions and effort to not include him.

I am still moderately pleased with how he turned out.

Paras. Also not completely satisfactory, but better than I had originally planned.

Missing a pair of legs. :(

Geodude. My favorite of this group, if only for how good he looks compared to how little effort I put into it.

The back looks less good, but still passable.

Exeggutor. I am very pleased with him, for some reason he gives off a bit more of a nostalgic feel for me.

Venusaur. Nuff said.

While not particularly cool like Charizard or Blastoise, there is something truly awesome about being able to hurl razor-sharp leaves the size of car doors at your enemies. Not to mention you could ride one, I'd imagine.
Well, now that my Cobra has over 50 like its, I think it is safe to post another MOC that I'm very proud of without worrying about losing comments to another one of my MOCs. That said, I hope you've enjoyed it, even those of you who didn't grow up on this stuff. Thanks for viewing, let me know what you think!

One of Exeguator's (I think I spelled it wrong) heads looks like your jolteon's. I think you should make a charizard now that you made a blastiose and finally a venusaur but you made a dark charizard.Paras is like the only pokemon I saw you made with orange so can you make a red charizard if you don't have a big lack of orange?
Sorry for the longeness of this comment.

I'll be honest with you, I thought the seaking was a butterfree or other similar pokemon. I didn't realize it was a fish at all. The geodude is just genius.
Yeah, the tail kinda throws the whole thing off. It was by far the most difficult Pokemon. |

Sure, that would be great! Maybe we could try Mitrhyl's suggestion for the heads:

One suggestion for the Eggsecutor: use minifig heads instead of cheese slopes? I have no idea how it would look, but it might turn out okay.

Must say, a VERY well done Pokemart. Easily exeeds mine, in my opinion. The pokemon are good two. Say, how about we have a little competition to build, say, a Pokemon gym? What do you say? I say that I said "say" say, 4 too many times? What would you say?

HA! That's so cool!:D The more and more I think about this and with a little bit of variation of the story, that could've been exactly what the the creators of pokemon would actually do in one of there video games or show or something. Like a random trainer (or insert your name here if it was a video game) going to or past the pokemart and he finds a pokeball and it just so happens a rocket grunt pops out of a shady corner and tries to steal something only instead of chasing after him you open your new pokeball and you kick the grunts butt! And you and the pokemon become closely attached as your FIRST POKEMON!:P WOOOOOW, I put way too much effort into this comment XD Great pokemart/short story:D |
