This is my first MOC - I was inspired to build something like this after I received 5766 Creator Log Cabin as a late Christmas gift.
About this creation
This is my first MOC as an AFOL (I built some stuff as a teen, but nothing great), so please be gentle! I know it's not awesome, it probably was a bad idea to start with something so big and I should have tried a vignette first (that's what I'll do next I think) - but well, here it is, and even though I hope that what I'll do next will be way better, I'm not too unhappy with how this turned out.
I built this on a 48x48 plate, and used light grey and light bley for the visible face of the mountain. I initially wanted to use only parts I had, but I had to make BrickLink and Shop@Home orders for additional brown parts for the log cabin.
The log cabin is actually what I'm happiest with.
I used the minifig from 5766 Log Cabin, since that set inspired me to build this.
IDk what you're talking of but this is brilliant.I like the log cabin because of its unique stature.Plus everything else is just perfect, but what really caught my eyes is the log cabin, probably because of its simple stature ehich i admire alot.Keep it up.
Excellent creation! The mountains though bland really capture the atmosphere of a gorgeous setting. The log cabin is also well done. Great work.

Amazing work just amazing! Do you want me to add you as a favorite builder? Please let me know by commenting on something of mine. Incredible! Work I cannot jet over how you put the logs on the cabin. I'm baffled on how you did this amazing detail! The mountains spektacular! Great work! Sincerely Soap MacTavish.

This is awesome Claire. Though there is a slight lack of colour to the cliffs, the overall model has detail in places where it counts. The texture of the cliffs is brilliant, the colouring of the shore is weldone too. The log cabin look is very well executed. I foresee another grand builder joining us here on the pages. Look forward to seeing more from you. ~Thoy
This is actually pretty good; sizing down to 32 x 32 would completely hide any hint of stretching your LEGO collection, at least to the viewers. I really like the cabin, nice use of SNOT (Studs Not On Top) technique. I also like the rocks... like Areetsa said, they look a little too barren, but I like the shaping.
