Really? Water can hurt...
Hmm nice water... Think again >:D My entry for the Great OUCH Contest. Enjoy!
About this creation
This is my entry for the Great OUCH Contest, hosted by LWCguy.

The challenge for me was to have every image worked around the 8x8 size restriction. The opening scene required 24 bases built up at the same time, with only the boat being moved around. Keeping the string in a horizontal alignment was also difficult. The green baseplate you can see is simply for the turntable effect, it also assisted in making sure the 8x8 vigs didn't move too much from each other.
The Matrix technique was going to be used for Leda's entry in my 'Get on yer boat' story :)
Watch the video a few times, you will notice the waves move to the right, while the ripples more to the left ;)

No this build did not take me 6 weeks(LOL) I have been polishing up on some Solidworks 2010 Surface Modeling tutorials(completely unrelated to this MOC or Lego)

***The car, a Lamborghini Gallardo designed in Solidworks 2010 has been removed. Sorry for the confusion it obviously caused some people lol...***

the movement of the waves in the video are amazing, but the vig itself doesn't have much detail. the photos are fine. 8.5/10

Fair enough. The bum first entry is more psychologically disturbing than painful, I guess. Ah, I see. You are a man of many talents then. Thanks for sharing.

Fantastic Matrix-esque video, especially likin' the wake the boat leaves. Very nice work!

Quoting Stormbringer (Formerly known as Unitronus) Nice animation, particularly at the end. But what does the car represent?
The car represented 6 weeks of me being dragged away from MOCpages - I didn't think it was too hard to work out... Owell, I took it off after the confusion it caused most people.

Quoting Tom Simon I have no idea what the car pic has to do with Lego, but the video is brilliant. Nicely built, choreographed, and sequenced. Bravo! (There is a different effect when you go in bum first at just the right angle.) This post is very tasty, to be sure.
My understanding is bum-first isn't quite as hurtful or suprising to the skier, I can only imagine face-planting into water at high speed :) The car was to show what i've been up to for 6 weeks, not many people read that part...

Well at least there was one person who may have appreciated the hard work. My old version was SW2003, the upgrade to 2010 is simply fantastic :) Cheers Sebeus!

Quoting Athanasios Lazarou Wow, I didn't know you were so ripped... xD Great job, and good luck! :)
Haha, actually im a fat tub-a-lard and need to portray myself as a ripped dude to help boost my low self-esteem. To be honest i'm at the other end of the triangle, i'm the guy with no fat or meat - but I could do a marathon :D
