Based on Station 5 in Evanston, IL, this station is probably the largest creation I have ever made on LDD and is close to the largest i have ever designed period. I am very happy with how this came out, considering that I didnt have the luxury of using Lego Universe on LDD. included is the description found on the Evanston FD's homepage: http://www.efdlocal742.com/Town%20Information.html
About this creation

Completed in 2008 and ribbon cutting ceremony on February 27, 2009, Fire Station #5, 2830 Central Street, is the City of Evanston’s first “green” building. The new design has two stories with three apparatus bays, kitchen, dining area,
day room, workout room, turn out gear room and de-con room with shower to wash down contaminated turnout gear and equipment. There is also a watch office
on the first floor. The second floor houses dorm rooms, a locker room and
washrooms. The building also has a basement to house mechanical equipment and storage. Fire Department staff requested a drive-through bay to avoid stopping traffic when backing into the station on Central Street when returning from calls.
OKAY!! so i messed up. I do have the LDD file for this creation. I guess it managed to get backed up on my external hard drive. SO, heres some more pictures of the building.

I don't suppose you would like to sell this?
I never built it. It was never more than an LDD file. You are more than welcome to use the design though. |

Hey Zack.
I would love to see the LDD file of this beauty if possible. I am astonished at the detail you put into it. Great job!

Unfortunately the LDD file was lost when my laptop crashed for the second time this year. All that I have are these still shots. If you want, i can try to put together a file with the more unique components constructed so you have an idea of what went into this. |

I'm not one for rating creations built using software and not Lego bricks, but I feel I need to speak. This creation looks fantastic! It really came out very well done! I would really love to see it done in Lego bricks...if only funds were available. This fire station would certainly make a nice addition to your department! Keep up the great work!
Thank you Bob. I wouldnt normally even post LDD creations but I'm at college and my legos are home in Boston 250 miles away, so I figured go for it. But I hope to build some of these LDD models over the summer when I get my job back and can afford legos once more lol |
