A Little Bit of R&D
Here we get a rare look into a Dawn Forge weapons lab.
About this creation
We all know the Dawn Forge for their huge machines, thick armor, and massive weaponry, but these weapons don't just pop out of thin air. The research and development team here is testing out the first prototype of the OPX1 Cannon.

Here we see a few engineers hard at work, and Jake Gyllenhaal who's just happy to be there. And what originally looked like a man in a thong who just lost a horrible bet, is unfortunately just a crash test dummy.

Some DF employees watch on through 20 cm thick glass.

Over-photography is one of my biggest pet peeves, so i'll leave you with that.
I hope you liked my first diorama!

I don't know what Dawn forge is, but the layout of this MOC captures that "spacey feeling" very well...

Excellent. I really like the gun detail and it's a great use of the crash test dummy minifig.

A very nice, polished build with stunning photography! Jake Gyllenhaal would be a fine stand in for the dummy. XD

Quoting Tom Simon "Well this is the first test of this weapon, they're just making sure it doesn't backfire and kerplode all over itself". Now that I'd like to come down and see. Next MOC?
hmmmm i'll think about it

Quoting Sammah . I would however like to know what Dawn Forge is?
Quoting Eric 'Hawk' Mickle Just one question: What is Dawn Forge? >Eric
I just died a little on the inside. Haha well there is a hyperlink to the Dawn Forge group at the start of the description, but if that doesn't suit your fancy you can go here: http://www.mocpages.com/group.php/1648

Quoting Metal Matt Nice! It looks really well built and thought out. My only question is, what type of cannon is it and what does it do?
I'm not sure, probably some type of explosive. So why am i firing at a minifig? read the rest of this comment :)
Quoting Matt The Backward One Great work here! My only problem is the fact that the orange mini-figure on the right is missing hair... 4/5!
He's supposed to be bald, there are bald people out there; unfortunately bald minifigs look weird
Quoting Tom Simon I'm not impressed by what it can do to the mannequin. I'll pop in when it's ready to be tested on a tank.

Really nice job, the pictures are excellent. I like the machine a lot. But I disagree with Matt, hair is no reason to take give a 4/5, truth is their are bald people all around, and its no real issue if you either forgot, didn't have, or didn't want hair. Keep it up!

Good as always. I like especially the big armoured door with the orange lights above and the dude behind. He wanted to make sure, that he is save and wont miss anything of the big boom, zoom or bang. Dont know what this monster gun will sound like. Good Job!

That is one knarly look'n canon! I was hoping to see the dummy in pieces at some point, but oh well...still a sweet build! Funny though, they test that kind of a weapon on one humanoid dummy...? What about a car or ten!
