Ambush in Saint Lo
Somewhere in Saint Lo, members of the US 1st Army are ambushed by a German squad.
About this creation

Members of the US 1st Infantry Division pile-driving their Willys through a wooden fence.

A bazooka team, just after firing at the building across the road.

Overview.

Inside the building. When they ambushed the group of GIs, they didn't notice the bazooka.

The blast tore off this machine gunner's legs.

Another German rushes to help him.

The bloody mess, and a 3rd Jerry blindfiring from the rubble.

A GI dives with his Thommy gun in hand.

The blindfire strikes him in the leg, but he keeps fighting.

Two czech hedgehogs out on the road.

The driver flipped out and bailed off the road, a worthy decision considering there were also tank traps ahead.

Bazooka team again.

Sargeant firing off his magazine into the already crippled German.

An American on the .30 attempting to get a clear shot.

Driver and passenger.

Quoting Nick Pascale War is not what we were created for, but war is a fact of life. Unfortunately war cannot be avoided we only need pick up a newspaper and everyday world wide war is a daily event. It's interesting to see LEGO used to tell the story of war. As a retired teacher I think it to be a good tool in educating without preaching. Your design has been well executed! I love the way you recreated a LEGO fence so you could show it being crashed into and the way you interpreted blood was interesting! I leave you with the 1960s "hippy" slogan: Make love not war!
Thanks for the comment. I agree that war is a terrible thing, however it is somewhat inevitable. Thanks, --Garand
