About this creation
"His World" [Remix] Orig. by Tomoya Ohtani, Remix by 'Etherealurtz' (guy's got some gooood music)
The BARON was forced to leave Koromar from the constant attacks from the Order. He made a plan to skip from island to island, in hopes of keeping away from the Order. He left Bayzon in charge of the Knights in his absence.
The years of being on the lamb created inner turmoil for the BARON, making him slightly schizophrenic; he heard voices of his inner conscience, both good and bad (literally the angel and devil on the shoulder). Artakha, having learned of the BARON's ability and problem, reached him telepathically, finally convincing him to have a change of heart for the better, curing his schizophrenia.
The BARON retired as the head of the Knights to live in secrecy on the Island of Artakha, becoming a worker for him, although he did not make it appear as if he had simply left; he faked his own assassination so as to rid himself from the incessant Order. Bayzon, the only one who knew the truth, was left to lead the Knights permanently.
He was never called BARON again.
Like most Matoran, Aridike upgraded his armor upon arriving on Artakha. With the near limitless options as to how to make his armor, thanks to the materials on Artakha, Aridike decided to make a more regal and lavish style of armor, using copious amounts of silver and gold. He kept the switch-blade on his left arm, much to Artakha's disdain, insisting it was for "ceremonial reasons only."
Having abandoned his life of crime, his very lifestyle, he found it difficult to adapt to life on Artakha. For one, the other Matoran there knew about his past life as a criminal, and although they trusted Artakha's faith in Aridike, they had no faith in him of their own.
He consulted with Artakha about this and the mighty creator merely told him: "Build." And so Aridike did. He created and invented like no other. Having put forth all of his energies to simply thinking and constructing, he found that he was simply brilliant. The Matoran were all but astounded at his ability.
(Rathor, a friendly rival of Aridike's, once told him: "I just created a new computer. It is so fast that it's capable of calculating what you're about to say, before you say it." Aridike outdid him by saying exactly that before Rathor did.)
Aridike created microscopic robots for use in construction, hand held media devices that could take and play audio, video, pictures and holographic projections, a system of public transportation utilizing magnetic levitation that could go off-road, as well as on the sea, a machine that could empower Kanohi as well as several recreations of Kanohi powers including Quick Travel, Mutation, Repulsion, Shielding, Mind Control, Silence, and (theoretically) Possibilities.
After several years of this intense building, in which he would turn completely nonchalant and detached from the world as if in a trance; one day he simply collapsed. The fellow workers around him were horrified, and took him to the infirmary. He was in comatose for three days.
Upon his awakening, Aridike was suffering from amnesia, having only a faint grasp of where he was and what had happened. His amnesia caused him slip back to his prior behaviors and attitude as the BARON, becoming violent and egotistical.
After several weeks of 'touring' the Island of Artakha, Aridike finally remembered most all of his life and prior thoughts, but his lapse to his former self caused a mental block to continuing his work for Artakha. However, he could not leave, as Artakha was too cautious as to let someone out who knew the island's location. His decision was final: Aridike was to stay on the Island.
