Lion Kingdom Castle
Lion Knight Castle Also entry for Round 4 of Mocpages Survival Contest
About this creation
Hey guys! This is Lion Castle! I made it after taking a recent trip to the lego store in Charlotte, NC. (I got lots of grey bricks! :D) It took about a week to build (mostly after school). It's also the first big castle I've built although the back is cut-away.

It is a fortified Manor house for the Lord of the Lion Knights. It is built atop the cliffs by the sea. The door to the castle is a back door. It has a main gate on the other side (which isn't built). All stairs are on the other side of the castle too, lol. The back door opens to a path that leads to the peasant village, which I hope to build sometime. There is also a side path that leads to the docks where peasants fish.

There is a prison under the castle where the Lord keeps his enemies (don't worry, he treats them nicely, lol). The ground floor has a dining room and a kitchen which is connected to the back door. The top floor is the living quarters for the lord and lady and the walls right outside. There is also a bell tower on top of the roof.

This is also my entry for the Mocpages Survival Contest so here is a link to the group.

Just for the record, I hadn't already built this before the round topic was stated. It was started after I knew what team I was on.

So, here are the pictures!

Thanks for visiting guys! Hope you liked it! Any comments are greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Great castle and good cliffwork! It's nice to see someone who doesn't use Brickarms in their builds! And I see you took up my advice ;) - greetings, Elderon.

Even the mechs of team 'Battering Ram' couldn't take down this castle. It's perfect in every sense and a true inspiration for myself! 20/20

A build in all the best traditions of Lego castles. The difference between good MOCs and great ones is often attention to detail - and whichever angle you look at this one there's something fun to spot, like the bell, sluice gate in the dungeon, wooden stockade, and lots more. You've raised the bar for the contest, so: 19/20

Nicely done. I quite like the rocks, and the figs seem rather active. I'd agree with Shannon Young there about it looking like a set, except that official sets these days are nowhere near as good.

The cutaway makes it look like an official Lego set. And what a neat set it is, with lots of great details like the net full of fish, the suit of armor on the stand in the corner, the bell in the tower... The only drawback is the big baseplate brick on its side -- apparently you didn't get quite enough brick at the store! No matter how much you have, it's never enough, is it? Wonderful work all around.
