I had some stupid Idea in my head that I could build a Plan 303E Deep Striker. It is such a crazy over-the-top Gundam, its got that 80s excess and still looks fresh. I soon realised that it would be pretty hard to do so I settled for the MSA-0011(Ext) Ex-S but even it was a little large and silly looking. The end result was half way between the MSA-0011(Ext) Ex-S and the MSA-0011 S with most of the back bit removed and a few other colour/shape mods.

This Gundam is really "Gundam". I know the most difficult part should be the head since I also meet same problem when build my OO ( http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/251041). However, yours is really good. I saw you hide some exo-joint under the armored so the mobility should be good, isn't it?
You got some great MOCs going on there! Yes Exoforce from the spine down, I tried other bespoke joints but they couldn't take the weight. It is fully articulated. With the head I just pretended I pixelated it in Photoshop down to a few blocks. I made the face black as it is more contrasting and draws you in, white was a bit flat and boring. Glad you liked it. Cheers |

How in the heck do you build these wondrous mechs? Even with help, I still can't build one that looks even half as good! Any chance you could give a paltry imitator such as myself some pointers on how to pull off that anime look?
1. hide studs and build in multiple directions to break up the lego cliche, 2. pick a mecha/design/moc that your pieces can easily replicate or resemble and modify if you cant get it to work exactly, let the pieces dictate the form, 3. keep it simple and balanced, repeating common shapes for visual consistency and rhythm, 4. Use sketches/plans at 1:1 to make sure dimensions are as accurate as possible, 5. experiment and rebuild elements until they are the best you can do, 6. research techniques and styles and try to develop your own. Thinks thats it. Sorry for any spelling mistakes. |

I am not a fan of Gundam ... but who cares... this mech is awesome! Great job! |

This is a very nice creation, I love the way you made the rear skirt armor and the chest area. And yes you are right, it gives off the same feeling like the 80's Gundam shows, it's really refreshing. My only question is...why is the face black? it would look better with white in my opinion. You should try to buld the Double Zeta Gundam. Keep up the good work! |

Who cares what Gundam this is supposed to be. It's Amazing! I can't pick out a favorite detail here. If I had to pick, I'd say the details and shape of the legs shoulders and jet pack with the wings in the back would be my favorite. I guess that's almost the whole mech. NICE! |
