This vignette depicts William Tyndale, in a small stone room, translating the Bible into English. As some may already know, Tyndale is credited for copying the Bible into the English tongue; he was also a great protestant reformer of the sixteenth century. William Tyndale was eventually martyred for his works, but thanks to the risks he took, we now have the Bible in English, so that the common-man may read it freely.
