About this creation
Blogged by The Brothers Brick

I call it the HAU 'Seaside' Vertical Tank. Isn't that name just delightfully ill-fitting?

Anyways, I was assigned the task of making something that can smash something else up real good. The solution? Why, a mecha of course! I'm kind of a one-trick pony. And I don't have the parts I need to make a freakin' awesome set of treads... So once more, I am denied my dreams of Tank Glory... So I did what any reasonable treadhead would do and built a huge tank with legs.
I suppose I could have done a hover tank.

Now, if this can't smash a bunker I don't know what can. It's big, armored, and clompy. But, more importantly, it has a gun. A big gun. This is the kind of gun that strikes fear into the hearts of concrete bunkers worldwide!
Probably a bigger tank. With a bigger gun.

Look at this nice 3/4 view. Now you're hypnotized and want to leave a comment and high rating! LOOK INTO MY MECHA. LEAVE ME POSITIVE COMMENTS.
Yeah, they are!

*Ahem* I apologize, that was unprofessional of me. I just don't have the money for bribes at the moment, so I have to resort to hypnotism sometimes.
You are getting sleeepy...

I actually think that, on this mech, the back is one of the best views. I guess this actually has 'Junk in the Trunk'
*Yawn* I need a nap...

Yet another side view.
Zzzzzz

And here we have the glorious legseses. They're like footses, but longer and are a slightly less weird fetish. Yes, I just went there. And now we're going back to happy fun family-friendly land! Look, there's kittens!
That's what she said!

These footses were made for walking, and that's just what they'll do, one of these days these footses are gonna stomp all over you.
Artistic license for the win.

Wow, I am just not witty today...
Yeah... You suck dude.

I guess there's not much to say about this one. It kind of speaks for itself.
Wait... That's oddly specific.

Well, at least I have a big machine gun. You know, lots of people make the mistake of building vehicles without anti-personell weapons. Sure, you can get away with it, but what about when they make a videogame with your mech? Do you really want to have just one shot every thirty seconds when dealing with little infantrymen? No. You want to be able to shoot them and all of their friends up quick, but leave enough of them behind so you can loot their corpses afterwards.

Here's a nice overview of the turret. Isn't it pretty? You bet your sorry behind it is.

This is where we've attached our machine gun. It goes 'Dakkadakkkadakka'.

Note the smoke launchers and headlights on the side plating. First, you want to be able to see in the dark. Second, you want to be able to hide your machine on inspection day.

Imposing POV shot! I choose you!

It used 'Face Camera'! It's Super Effective!

What's an off-duty soldier to do? And besides, nothing looks cooler on your facebook account than you and a friend standing in front of a huge piece of military equipment that isn't in a museum or something like that.

Well, that's it for this little fellow. Not bad, wouldn't you say? It's not a particularly original method for Bunker Busting, but hey, if it ain't broke, bust it up old school. To hard core Gangster Rap, like in Office Space.

Anyways, my musings aside, thanks for stopping in! I'd appreciate any comments, concerns, criticisms, suggestions, donations, marriage proposals, or death threats you have.

Oh, one last thing:
ZOMG IZ END OB WURLD!!! TEH R1BBI7Z NO BUILDZ TEH FRAWGZ!!!!1!

Wow, excellent design! The only thing I could see improved would be if it were all bley. Instead of simply grey, since I have a unique relationship with that color: we hate each other. On another note, a once again very entertaining read, with certainly enough Gollum references to earn you another day of building on this fair earth. Keep brickin, and keep writin'! =D

Well, that'd certainly save us some ammunition!
Quoting Brickster ~ Awesome! I love the weapons!
Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Quoting David Stockholm Those legs... Aaauuugh they look amazing. I love the design of it, I just wish I could do mecha. At least any kind that looks really good.
Thanks! You really just have to keep trying until you find something that works for you. If you keep at it, I'm sure you'll be able to make one!
Quoting Matt The Backward One /Death threat
Haters gonna hate.
Quoting Master Shifu Leo J My, what a big gun ... I mean bunker buster, yeah ... Who needs treads when the tank got legs like that?!?!? XD

Quoting Yuri Fassio I was thinking just yesterday that you must be very happy about that new frogs game :)
I'm ecstatic. I just wish it was released over here already!
Quoting Yorik Bruhl Make it pink?
I live by a rule in building: It can be whatever color you want, so long as it's grey. Mostly due to a lack of colorful parts.
Quoting Zach'O films AKA Zach Vandermark This is really cool, the legs are awesome.
Thank'ee matey!

Quoting Spaztastic the Diabolical I might steal this design. Not for lego, rather just to let me visualize something that's been slipping in and out of my head as I try to write a book. Anyways, it looks like an AT-PT. Except AWESOMER! Bunker buster > lazor walker
Thanks! I'm flattered you've chosen my mecha for inspiration :)
Quoting Riley Norman That's some dakka.
Indeed it is...
Quoting Spark Industries awesome, but where are the frogs and the monkeys?! :(
On vacation in the Bahamas. Little buggers stole my money and ran.
Quoting Stuart Lucas This mech is great! But I must point out that the category description said '2-4 vehicles/weapons capable of breaking down fortifications'.... I haven't decided whether I'm going to hold people to that one or not yet in the scoring. But why not play it safe and bung in a support vehicle before the deadline?
Thanks for pointing that out! I'll see what I can dredge up...
Quoting Swift ~ TAh fRogz? WHeR R Dey? Kidding aside, nice mecha, the feet are very well designed, as is the frontal armour. Cheers!~Swift

Quoting Grant W. Wow! This is awesome! Can it fit a minifig?
Unfortunately I haven't tried that. At the moment, I'll say it probably could, but not to my usual standards (As in having controls, a seat, etc.)
Quoting MR. LEGO ok, thank you very much! http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/252073
No problem!
Quoting Jason Dominguez Very nice Mecha, very Vertical Tank. The legs are very nicely done and compliment the turret very well. When I saw this, I thought, "Betcha it's got a frog inside." I was wrong, but very nice indeed.
Bam, contradicting expectations. I'm a wildcard. My inanity aside, thanks! I've wanted to do something like this for a long time, but it never worked out. I'm glad you approve!

Quoting William Pugh Cool! Concrete-busting cool! Very good job. And, like Cody, I don't know how to wrap this up. I am leaning towards a marriage proposal then a death threat however. That's how marriage usually goes, right? :P Again, great job! Oh, also, can it fit a fig?
It probably can, but he'd just be sitting in there with nothing. It's a little cramped and empty in there...
Quoting Cody G That's the first time I've ever heard Legos being referred to as plastic crack, but the description is pretty accurate. Although snorting Legos wouldn't end well.
That's a term I use for all of my plastic-based hobbies, as all of them are fighting for my wallet. And you don't have to tell me twice.
Quoting MR. LEGO WOW!!! the commentary is very good. Sorry to do this but if you get time check this out please http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/252073

Quoting Cody G Very good mech, and the commentary is stellar as always. I'm not sure whether or not to finish up this comment with a donation, marriage proposal or death threat.
The donation would me most appreciated. I needz more plastic crack, donchaknow?

Quoting Steven The Wanderer How good is it at busting the factories where homework is printed?
I don't think those sort of factories exist, but if they do, then it can smash them.
Quoting Lando L. Jackson Everything here is lovely, stompyness, footseyness, dakka, and soldiers with man-bags. I smile.
Man-bags are all the rage in Europe.
Quoting Tom Simon Nice. And that huge rod. Not one for subtlety are you?
I'm as subtle as a flaming anvil. I'm also about as useful as a flaming anvil, but that's a different story.
Quoting Areetsa C This looks like it has just enough guns. So, good work.
I've another mech with more guns. It just hasn't made it to the pages yet...
