About this creation
I finally built something sci-fi that I'm happy with!
It's a 16x16 vignette that started as an experiment with multiple sets of those SNOTed arches around cylinders, and grew to this.

"Error: Subject 328 is mutating!"
Oh noes! What started as an innocent project to clone humans has become...this! Now instead of a nice classic Town woman, we have a MegaBloks-ugly alien that has bug eyes and monstrous lips.

"Do not panic. The situation is under control."
Probably one of my favorite parts. I love this little security 'bot. He's got dual rotating thrusters and a pair of plasma cannon for arms, plus an antenna backpack to communicate with the Central Computer.

Here's the inside. I wanted a really stark contrast, so I did this one in grey and bright yellow. Basically I decided the color scheme of this vig would be that the people like everything clean, but that cleanliness is a facade for the mechanical madness behind. I decided on five colors: White is 'normal', grey is mechanical, yellow is to call attention, blue is good, and red is bad. And then I tried to use only those colors.

Everything that should move does. On the top you can see the little 2-wide door. It retracts by one stud and then flips upwards.
On the bottom are both pods retracted. When they are, those two ams flip down to supply the pods with whatever liquid is inside them and ensures the health of the occupant.
Thanks for looking, C&C welcome.

Why 2-wide? I nothing really meant to go thru?
Because they fit. And a minifig can walk through sideways with room to spare.

And also, did you just put a technic connecter in two of the archway peices? Because I am really stumped on how it was done.
Nope. Half-plate wide brackets with the 1-plate tall portion of said bracket hidden inside the wall. |

Fantastic! That looks like it could be some medical bay in a futuristic war zone! I especially love the door, but I wonder: Why 2-wide? I nothing really meant to go thru? And also, did you just put a technic connecter in two of the archway peices? Because I am really stumped on how it was done. Fantastic job, as usual, and GOODnight! |
