Rice Field
Workers on a Chinese rice field.
About this creation
I got this idea from Marko Salopek. He told me to use it in a MOC as he doesn't build much.

Thanks for the idea, and I hope you all like my vision of it.

Quoting Jakub from Poland I love the fences! Nice work! And a question: how did you do the background? I mean the no-background :) the white... space
I use photoshop for that, and take pictures is front of something white, so editing and selecting background would be easier and faster.

Quoting Jaakko Pirinen Nice small cart. How is it built, are those window shutters?
Yes, they are! And they are in a window frame.
Quoting Marin Stipkovic Nice but I don't really like the tree. :P
I was having second thoughts about the tree too. Wasn't sure if I like it or not, but decided to go for it. And I see that most people love it, so I am glad I gave it a chance. ;)

Excellent! A deceptively simple scene, but not so simple to build I think. You can’t' go wrong with those hats in a dio called "Rice Field". Were the hats the genesis for the whole idea? I myself would have used brown tile for the water, but what you have done is beautiful. Like the others, I think you should "Sink" your figures a plate or two into the water. But my favorite parts are your tree and your tiny cart. I have not seen either design before, and both are exquisite. Good harvest! Attack!

While I enjoy the build as such, I'm not quite sure about what is going on there...are they planting the rice or harvesting? Either way, it's not really that convincing I fear. If they are planting the rice, the field is too dense, if they are harvesting, why is there even water to begin with?

Nicely done, looks very cut away, but perhaps they could be wading in the water, instead of walking on top. Not that I could do any better.
