Some cars of the Octan Le Mans Racing Team
These cars are variations from my 5-wide super car. I made them for the Octan LUGnuts challenge. You can play the "check the differences game" if you want.
About this creation

With integrated spoiler

With open cockpit. I got the idea of the pilot's helmet from Dylan Denton.

The binoculars are supposed to be backlights...

With large front intakes.

With adjustable spoiler

Long version...

Porsche 917 style.

With short winscreen.

With rounded front.

Another variation...

And I could have done more shape and colours variations...

These are some really cool race cars. Great parts usage and some really cool SNOT elements. I can't say which one is my favourite. They are so cool, each one of them! :-))

Beautiful! It's amazing what you can do to make such a small model. The most inspiring thing is this cockpit and this lever part you used for the guy's helmet!

Great looking cars - being 5 wide makes the proportions perfect with those wheels (but you knew that!)

Quoting cyberfrank 2010 your page trouble is bogus! but, your cars are excellent! it s very cool to see the variations! there is a front round part i can t make out, it s 4 long and round edged, what s it? it looks very nice! very detailed work! will you try for a fig scale in the future? a 5 maybe? lol!
The modified brick is ref. 40996. I don't know in which set it appeared, I bought 2 white and 2 red ones on Bricklink. When I saw them I knew I had to because they would come handy in one of my 5-wides and maybe something else.

I had some troubles creating this page so I got it 3 times. I copied JK's comment from one of the pages I deleted : "Its been a while since i seen something from you. As usual great techniques, and all of them nicely coloured."

I had some troubles creating this page so I got it 3 times. I copied Nathaniel Vendt's comment from one of the pages I deleted : "There is no mistaking that these are La Mans style racecars. Great 5-wides."

I had some troubles creating this page so I got it 3 times. I copied Henrik Hoexbroe's comment from one of the pages I deleted : "Fantastic!!! You use a piece for bumper that I have never seen; You have it both in white and red. It looks like a 1x4 with somewhat rounded ends. What piece is that¿? Also I had some fun trying to figure out how you did the rear spoiler on photos 7 & 8. (Then I realized that you used a 1x2 cheese). Great! "
