Here's the city layout I built for my Alpine Mountain Train layout as displayed at the Indy Brick Jamboree in October.

From the white-trash house, to the 'under construction; house, down to the LARPers; funny stuff amongst some great builds.~H |

Beautifully constructed, I like how you mixed the official sets in with your own buildings. |

Love it! Especially the run down redneck house. We've got one of those across the street from where we work. :-) Also, does knowing what "LARPing" was make me a total nerd? ;-) |

... My only question is, how'd you find out about the people across the street from me? Thankfully, their boat is gone, but it's been replaced with a rusting Chevy Nova. Might want to update that on your build! ;-)
I was assured by your neighbor that he'll have the trasmission back in your Nova by spring :)

... i wonder why you chose not to do street parkings with the road plates s free space? it makes your streets look narrower. is it intended? ...
I wanted the streets around the houses to have side walks through the front yards. The commercial part of the city has parallel (street) parking more typical of a smaller community's downtown business area. |

Thanks for some details. That's the kind of stuff that gets missed with the wider shots (due to the scale), yet is also just what makes looking at these kinds of creations so fun. By the way, 10 points to Gryffindor for the LARPers. My only question is, how'd you find out about the people across the street from me? Thankfully, their boat is gone, but it's been replaced with a rusting Chevy Nova. Might want to update that on your build! ;-) |
