This is a Japanese style stone wall specially prepared for the Japan Village (crossover with AndyBear) in the Brick Adventure 2011. It's originally a valley connected by the red classical Japanese bridge. However, it's not a good presentation. AndyBear suggested the way you see on the photo. It'd be credited to AndyBear. By the way, I promised to built some Japanese houses. Due to shortage of time, I give up finally.
Those beautiful houses are built by my partner: AndyBear!
I spent over a week in completing the wall. It's much difficult to built than that on the WWII diorama.
The final photo shows the whole Japanese Village.
Hope that you will like it! Enjoy!
My favorite part of this build was the bath house located behind the arching bridge in front of the center building. There was one guy lifting another guy up over a wall to get a peek at the girls. That simple- and funny, detail added to the whole amazing build.
Looks like you built the same wall twice, still looks awesome though. I have never seen anyone trying to build those walls with other pieces than those from the ninja sets. It really paid off. Have you tried dark and light gray instead of tan/gray? I'm a big fan of andybear@hk btw, his buildings and temples are fascinating.
The building technique employed is from the some buildings of miniland in Legolands. However, what you find in miniland is presented as straight wall. I modified the idea into a slope. Then, the effect will be more "3D"!
