After a rather long hiatus, I proudly bring you the fruits of many a days worth of procrastination. Well, some of them.
About this creation
Whilst tearing up the C.O.P. vessels, shipwrights came up with an interesting conundrum: How the feck do we kill these things quicker, without building more capitol ships? The answer is obvious: Build these guys.
First up is the Alpha Class. A small, sleek and slim fighter, this baby is designed to slip between those huge jutting towers and hit priority targets. Hard.
Tri-engine technology allows these little babies to move faster at blistering speeds. No, seriously: Some idiot tried flying this thing with the windscreen off, completely ruined his face. Moral here is 'Don't drink and fly high velocity Spacecraft'.
Mounted on the sides of the Alpha are Medium Railguns: Perfect for blowing away turrets, power lines, enemy fighters and pesky fleebnorks.
It's partner in crime is the Beta Class. Somewhat stubbier than it's friend, the Beta makes up for this with a sizeable, explosive punch.
Quad-Rocket Launchers mounted on the sides of the Beta, armed with tracer rounds. The AI in these can pilot them around curves, follow the paths of fighters almost perfectly and even curve sharply so as to fly down a thermal exhaust shaft into the heart of a space station. When we'll ever need that particular bit, I'm not quite sure, but who knows? It might come in handy...
This bit is something I am, for some reason, quite proud of: Retractable landing gear. Of course, it'd be better with actual wheels...
...But hey, I reckon this gets the job done.
4th Wall Commentary: Well, this should mark the beginning of my semi-activeness of the new year. Half-expect some more from me, just don't get your hopes too high.
