Medieval Castle Today
My vision of the classic fortified medieval castle as we have it today.
About this creation
My vision of the classic fortified medieval castle as we have it today. A classic tourist attraction both for kids and adults with all accompanying events and features. From fair where you can buy "authentic" (made in China) medieval weapons, utensils and armors to medieval show program and entertainers.

MOC is laid over 20 baseplates, and originally started as a large castle project, but was later decided to move it a couple of hundred years in the future - Today. It was displayed in klub "Kockice" city diorama at Varazdin exhibition, and will be displayed on LEGO World Kopenhagen this year.

Excellent job, man. I like the triangular shape of the castle and how the entrances were made. The people were nice and the walls were detailed very nicely. There are two flaws, however. The water is fine, but a little bit of light blue mixed in there is good as well. Also, I noticed the the chocolate popsicle. Is that Lego? I have never seen that piece before. As I said, well done. 4/5 stars. No doubt you will do well at the convention.

Its not only the exquisite build, but the fact that you have placed it into today makes it so much more than just another amazing castle. I love it so much. I am going to purchase more grey bricks and build the Cathedral in my home town square. Thanks for the creative boost of my imagination!

Interestingly, I think this may be the first castle I've seen portrayed in a modern setting... you've built it well. The schoolbus is a nice (and well-built) detail, and your work on those curved sections of tiles in the courtyard is brilliant!

Nice castle, I like the idea of making it as a tourist attraction. Lol, I actually thought of something like this before: if I ever would get a castle category in a contest, I would make it as a tourist attraction since I don't have any castle figs. Anyway, great work!

What a great spin on the castle theme! Beautiful work, as usual, Matija. Love the angles in the castle design, and some great landscaping to go with it! I take it those cheese slopes you used for the roof were from the BW PAB? I've got, like 5,000 of those things - glad to see you found a use for them. ;-)

Castle is fantastic, with simple but very accurate structure, greatly put into surroundings. The idea of modern age castle is rendered wonderfully, almost idealistically, knowing that only small number of old castles are preserved and presented in this way, most of them are still in ruins, or closed for public. Triangle layout is pure win. The best part is lots of great details around castle, soccer, bus on parking lot, theater play... Of course, the best detail is guy that's taking photo of exibited MOC in the back. That one makes a difference between excellent and epic! And this is epic.

An outstanding representation of a castle from todays era, my only issue with it is the shape. Your attention to detail once again shows through (love the dudes rock-climbing), there are little features to enjoy all over this MOC. I am currently working on a 3x4 baseplate build and have to say the 4x5 build is a fantastic feat! ~Thoy
