Preparations for the Journey to Kobol and the Twelve Colonies are finally complete. Without the burden of a Civilian Fleet, the Galactica will be able to make longer range FTL jumps with the help of the Rebel Cylon Baseship. However, the return voyage will be different from that of the original crew due to the constant movement of the Spiral Arms of the Galaxy over the past 150 thousand years.
In spite of the knowledge handed down through the millennia in the Ship's Logs, this Journey will be uncharted territory for the new crew of the Galactica.
About this creation
Officer's Quarters: CMDR George Nempec, CO Battlestar Galactica
Colonel Doug Watchko, Executive Officer
Major Ben Shraga, Tactical Operations Officer

CMDR: Gentlemen, thank you for coming...Have a seat.
Just wanted to go over a few things before we get underway...

"Mr. Shraga, what's the status of the FTL computations?"

Shraga: Sir, We have two teams, both verifying the Jump plots independently from what the Cylons send over.

CMDR: Good, they've been a big help, but I want to keep our own people in the loop on this...

Col: We can't trust them completely...We have no idea what the might be up to...They could just be pullin' our chains this whole time...

CMDR: We have to be ready for anything. There's no telling what we'll find along the way, or on any of those planets...Col, what's your team's status?

Col: We've got Marines in every critical section, as well as along the corridor junctions between them. If we're boarded like they had been in the past, we'll be ready. Explosive rounds and RPGs if necessary.

CMDR: Excellent...Mr. Shraga, proceed to CIC, set Condition One, inform the Cylons, and begin Jump Prep.
Shraga: Aye, Sir!

CMDR: Dismissed, and Good Hunting!
Col and Shraga: Yes, Sir!

Commander...
Marines...

"Action Stations, Set Condition One throughout the Ship, Commence Jump Prep."

"Looks like it's show time, Doug."

"This is the Commander. We're about to embark on the greatest journey mankind has ever made. "

"You've trained for this...You're ready for this...
Mr. Shraga, start the Clock."

"Aye, Sir!
On my mark: Three, Two, One...
Jump!"

CMDR: SitRep
Shraga: Calculating...

"Commander, We've made it, Sir... Approaching Kobol..."

"...And our Cylon friends are right with us..."

Impressive! The office looks great, I especially like the shelf. Placing the jagged piece sideways under the shelf's legs looks great, and all the stuff on the top looks excellent. Also, you did a fantastic job on the wall, the ladders are a nice touch. Brilliant work!
Thanks for the comment! Building up to the dramatic return to Kobol, and in reality I was stretching the plot line waiting for spring to arrive. I think there were two more big snowstorms after this episode! |

happy anniversary el barto! and thanks for this gift! really, you should nt have!...lol! man, i d look at your work, just for the interiors and lighting! your use of technic beams is so inspiring, i ve been mingling in my mind how i could use their industrial look in my buildings, and this is a very neat idea, as for the snow outside your house, if it s so spectacularely high, i would take outside pics now! try for an action scene outside, that you could use later, a fig with a gun, one with a comunication devise, i d take a lot, with props, ships, ect. and you can use those, especially with your photoshop, later, with variations, just a thought, the story, was a lot better for me this time! the show was on for me this time! all the angles, orders, structure, professional el barto! real cool show! bravo!
Unfortunately outside is not really an option, as I am just south of you in Vermont (you're in Quebec, right?) Any landscape scene would have to be shoveled. But that's exactly what I'm waiting for. I have a pond/swamp behind my house that I hoping will mimic the scene from the show. Not sure what the groundhog saw on Wednesday...We'll see. Thanks! |

Glad you liked it! I don't have him walking around with his 'coffee' cup yet, but he certainly has the same cranky disposition. And a floozy for a wife/ex wife. We'll explore that further pretty soon I think. Stay tuned! |

1. Suspense, suspense. I'm really looking forward to the next episodes, even if I have to wait some weeks.
2. Congratulations on your anniversary.
3. For a scene like the one in the officer's quarters I wouldn't use the bird's eye view too often. More eye level might be better, though you already made use of it in some pics.
1. Yes, suspense..We'll see where this goes, and what that Levopolis guy is up to. 2. One year already! How time flies, but I can't remember what I used to do before? 3. I see what you mean, and I did think about trying to avoid that issue, but one problem was that CMDR Nempec and the Colonel both have faces on the front and back. So, you know... Thanks for the comments! |

What could possibly go wrong!?! Panels are original and functional looking, quite the achievement! In addition, the amount of interesting props you've stuffed into your character rooms is enough for a 30 minute Q & A. Great work again man.
It's good to personalizes one's accommodations, even on an ancient Battlestar. Mav got the diving theme, this guy gets the sea captain, not too different from Adama, really. Thanks for the comment! |

Well congratulations on a most excellent year indeed. You only have 3 feet of snow up there. I don't have any place left to pile the snow from my driveway. Is there any nuclear winter going on any of the colonies?
Thanks. I wasn't counting the snow piles, well over eight feet in my office parking lot. Been thinking about the situation on the Colonies, 150 thousand years should be enough time for things to return to normal, I suppose, we'll see.... |

Hey this is not light comic relief. Were moving into heavy nail biting here. Do I have to put the kid to bed before the next ones?
Back to serious mode! Problem is, there's three feet of snow on the ground, so I might have to wait for Spring to do a landing episode. I might come up with a few things, though...
BTW, this is my One Year Anniversary Moc, thank you, thank you... |
