Skarlet
Sunrise on the dirigible, Skarlet.
About this creation

Neville looked at her face.

The young pilot had never bothered to climb uptop to watch the sunrise before joining Skarlet. His new contract with Captain Tore changed that. The captain insisted on watching the sunrise on the top of the balloon. At first Neville couldn't understand why a competitive captain would waste ten minutes every morning before even starting the engines. It must also be difficult to make the dangerous climb with only one leg. Then he saw..
...how she glowed.

Watching a sunrise changed her from an independent captain to a lonely woman. It was beautiful and sad. Neville wanted her to be happy. He didn't even know her first name, but..

..things change..

Quoting Ian Spacek "Things can change..." Hehe, a rather sweet, romantic, and touching story. It would make a fantastic premise for a book. -switches to dark humor- You could entitle it: "Break a Leg" or "Girl with the (b)limp leg" (okay, I admit that was bad).
The whole point of this build was to be sweet and romantic, so I am glad you liked it. I am also glad that you are not my editor. If you are curious. The reason I gave the captain one leg was to make her seem tough but vulnerable. Plus, I needed one more dark red leg for the sunset infused clouds

I really like all the uses you've developed for those 2x2 circular plates.

Quoting Parrington Levens how very nice, romance atop a air ship, lol, you should see Iron Skies, it's got zeppelins in space!
Thanks, Parrinton. Iron Skies looks kinda strange, maybe I'll watch it sometime.

Excellent! Nice balloon design, I'll have to keep that technique in mind! Unique design more the connector pieces along with the telescopes as well as the fins at the back. Very good attention to detail!

I think your story does a great job of highlighting some really great aspects of the Steampunk universe that we as designers sometimes pass up on(or, like myself sometimes, may not have the ability to perceiveuntil it hits us in the face!). The subtle romantic/adventurous undertones along with the strong female Captain, in my mind signifies some great themes in industrial/victorian hybrid that is steampunk. You got some great creative details packed throughout the whole build, with some great parts usage too! The ladders for the ships bow and the engine setup are some of my favorites. What I would say from a critical standpoint is that having SO much detail, combined with a huge amount of texturing I see here, is a little confusing to the eyes. Keep it up! Your showing a lot of promise with this!
