William Wallace, a commoner, unites the 13th Century Scots in their battle to overthrow English rule
About this creation
Well there really isn't much to say about it. The Battle from the movie starring Mel Gibson, "Braveheart" (1995). Umm I haven't watched it in years so as I remember it...enjoy.
"William Wallace is a Scottish rebel who leads an uprising against the cruel English ruler Edward the Longshanks, who wishes to inherit the crown of Scotland for himself. When he was a young boy, William Wallace's father and brother, along with many others, lost their lives trying to free Scotland. Once he loses another of his loved ones, William Wallace begins his long quest to make Scotland free once and for all, along with the assistance of Robert the Bruce."----- (IMDb)

William Wallace: And if this is your army, why does it go?
Soldier: We didn't come here to fight for them.
Second Soldier: Home, the English are too many!
William Wallace: Sons of Scotland! I am William Wallace.
Second Soldier: William Wallace is seven feet tall!
William Wallace: Yes, I've heard. Kills men by the hundreds. And if HE were here, he'd consume the English with fireballs from his eyes, and bolts of lightning from his arse.
[Scottish army laughs]
William Wallace: I AM William Wallace! And I see a whole army of my country men, here, in defiance of tyranny. You've come to fight as free men, and free men you are. What will you do with that freedom? Will you fight?
Soldier: Against that? No, we'll run, and we'll live.
William Wallace: Aye, fight and you may die, run, and you'll live... at least for a while. And dying in your beds, many years from now, would you be willin' to trade ALL the days, from this day to that, for one chance, just one chance, to come back here and tell our enemies that they may take our wives, but they'll never take... OUR FREEDOM!

William Wallace: Lower your flags and march straight back to England, stopping at every home to beg forgiveness for a hundred years of theft, rape, and murder. Do this and your men shall live. Do it not, and every one of you will die today.

Although the film Braveheart is a load of crap, here is a quote from the Declaration of Arbroath which is relevant:
"for, as long as but a hundred of us remain alive, never will we on any conditions be brought under English rule. It is in truth not for glory, nor riches, nor honours that we are fighting, but for freedom -- for that alone, which no honest man gives up but with life itself."
As a Scotsman, I have the right to quote such a passionate passage. |

That movie is by far the best movie ive ever seen. It has a fantastic storyline and only enough action to make it awesome not a gorry horror movie! Anyway a great moc!! You have so many people stationed on the battle field its just unbelievable!! It is now one of my favorite mocs! Really really good job! (You should make more of William Wallaces battles, just a suggestion). Over all really good!!! |
