JANUARY 11, 2012 just 11 days short of my first posting this MOC I'd like to take the time to say to all 1,003 MOCpeople that stopped by and made this my 1st MOC to hit 1,000+ views a very big THANK YOU! You made me very happy and extremely proud to be a MOCpager!!!REPAIRED: Tuesday, September 13, 2011 yet another one that lost all the pictures due to the "system crash" we had a week ago. I updated this by including the final SANTA SLEIGH and showed you how it evolved! It was a HALLMARK(tm) ornament that helped me to finalize the design. And since I begin this with a HALLMARK (TM) Ornament I end this with a real LEGO® Christmas ornament from 1994 (It's in my Christmas ornament collection, I might add!) So this time my reference pictures are at the end instead of up front! This Santa's sleigh was designed when LEGO came out with the "Winter Toy Shop" after all, I thought, who was going to deliver the toys?
This was on the wall in the part's department at LEGO, Enfield.
I wasn't happy with it.
Since I went to the High School of Art & Design and F.I.T. in Manhattan I knew you need to keep revising, revising and revising.
You will see stage I (the last 3) and stage II (the first 4) , stage III is ready for photography.
I hope this inspires you builders to never ever be satisfied until you make a design its best!
This sleigh inspired the one going into my "Winter Chapel" elsewhere on this site.
The sleigh for that is white and gray.
I added stage 3 today and showed you the HALLMARK (tm) ornament I used for details as well.
Who knows maybe one day LEGO will come out with a reindeer!
I included the white sleigh in the "Winter Chapel" section.
Enjoy both!
