WWII Higgins Boat LCVP
This is my first WWII moc and I think it turned out great. The front door swings down, the 50 cals have a full range of motion and the engine has a removable hatch. I have instructions available on brickcitydepot.com
About this creation
This is my recreation of the most famous photo from the D-Day landings.

Well deserved MOTD! This is one of the best Higgins/LCVP I've ever seen! matt: Well, it was the best landing craft they had. If they had used DUKWs or other types they would have had to climb over the sides which would take a lot of time, resulting in even more deaths. We also have to keep in mind that they weren't expecting too much resistance on the beaches, certainly not as much as what was actually there.

I knew the D-Day soldiers were brave, but to cram into one of these things knowing the bow/protective shield was about to drop... Bravery got elevated to a higher standard right there. Fantastic accuracy and shaping. Excellent black and white pic as well. Bravo!

Awesome work! Looks so real! Love those gunners nest, the floor and the sides of the boat! Absolutely awesome. The only thing that looks a bit strange is the looks on the faces on those infantry fellows marching off to certain death. I sincerely doubt that they were smiling as they exited the boat. It's either they were high on something or they were crazy to do so :))

Brian, I have to just say WOW!!! This is one of the best conceived WWII MOC's that I've seen. Your LCVP lacks nothing. It is easy to say that this is the best recreation of one in minifig scale. Your troops are outstanding too. You really have outdone yourself. Regards, your friend, Eric.
